Just went this past Friday night. Yes, it's on the expensive side. $65 for all you can drink and $40 cover just to enter (PS...i'm a girl...and fashionable and hot and with big boobies if I humbly say so myself, but that doesn't count at Mandala). We were also promised a table with our ticket by the promoter, but the guy at the door laughed and rolled his eyes and said of course there are no tables available for us (totally taking advantage of the dumb tourists that we seem to be..and too late, we already paid the $$). It's smaller inside than I thought. They play all the recent music, the DJ is good. They played one hip hop song, so if you're looking for hip hip, be more accepting of reggaeton which they will play.
I have been to many, many clubs in my life. I've never seen such obsessive compulsive cleaners in my entire life. There was an annoying team of guys who would follow you and make sure that your drink was placed not directly on the table but underneath a napkin (they didn't have coasters). If Gd forbid you forgot about that napkin and placed your drink next to it, they would run up and adjust the napkin to make sure it was underneath.
Also, there was another team of moppers who would mop the floors and make the dry dance floor wet by constantly mopping it. I mean every 7 minutes another mopper would come around and mop. I mean, we get it, you need to appear busy, but that was so annoying and unnecessary.
I'd probably try out a different club next time. It was a fun night, but I wasn't wowed. read more
