We had Mangono plumbing replace the main sewer line coming from our house. The completed project took long than expected. We were charged more for unexpected issues. They told us some of the extra charge was for fill dirt. We are very disappointed with the finished product. They did not fill the hole completely. We now have a safety issue when we exit our back door. I did call and talk with them and the tech came back out and did a little more but it is still an issue. As soon as we get some rain we will have a hole outside our back door to fall in. I really wish the outcome was different. I would suggest not making the final payment until you are satisfied with the completed product. They did not knock to say they were done for us to check the job. I woke up Sunday morning to find my backflow diverter valve cracked from the freezing temperatures, with water spraying all over the yard. After doing some research, I expected the repair to cost around $500. Mangano Plumbing came out to take a look for a $79.99 service fee, but I was stunned when they quoted me $1,800 for the repair. When I declined, I was warned that I "might not find another plumber with the part," though they added "no pressure." I did find another plumber who did not charge me to come look at it and he quoted me $500-$600 to replace the valve. He wasn't available for a few days, so I kept looking. After calling the City of DeLand, they came out the same day and fixed it for free. read more

We left a review of this company before that was not favorable. Their bid on the work was way out of line and we chose not to hire them. You would think it would end there but no, the owner tried turning us into the city for no permits in retaliation. Fortunately for us the licensed contractor we did hire got all the necessary permits and did the work quickly. The owner of this company behaved like a child - highly recommend you avoid them. read more

Individual gave me a price before checking to find out the cause of the problem, so I asked him to leave the premises. I called another company that checked and made the necessary repairs in less than twenty minutes, for a third of what Mangano quoted. read more

A simple toilet replacement resulted in three separate visits by your company because the representative you sent to perform the job was an inexperienced, unsupervised, trainee who, on the initial toilet install, broke the flange to the toilet. As a result, we will not pay for the damage that occurred because of the incompetence of your employee and company. The toilet you replaced had many issues, but a broken flange was not one of them. The old toilet sat firmly secured to the floor prior to removal. The flange to that toilet was replaced a few years prior so was fairly new. Your inexperienced, unsupervised employee left the new toilet completely unsecured to the floor after his first attempt at an install. We could not even sit on the toilet. The screws were not covered with white caps and they came right out of the hole/floor. If your employee was even remotely qualified, he would have told us that day that the flange was broke, but he didn't, because HE broke it. We were shocked that your employee left the toilet in that condition. It was a danger to us and a huge liability for your company. I have a 41/2-5' passageway under my house. I was informed by my pest control company that I had a slight leak where my master bath is located. I called Mangano Plumbing and set an appt.; the gentleman came and explained their pricing. I was speechless. Nonetheless, I agreed to get the leak fixed and a simple leak, detected at an elbow, ended up costing $552.39. The gentleman (very nice, by the way), said it looked like someone had inadvertently knocked against the pipe. I was told it was a minor leak. Outragious!!!!!! I will never use Mangano's again and will tell my story to anyone wanting a plumber. By the way, I am a business owner in Flagler and have lived there for 53 yrs. I should have known better to get a price before hiring. I can't submit without a star rating, so this rating goes to the company , not the gentleman who did his job. read more

When I looked for a plumber to come out, I figured I would give this newly formed 2023 business a shot. All I needed was a replacement of the overflow valve. I was shocked at the price of $615! The technician assured me that the part itself was over $200! After the work was done, he told me it was $695! He said "I have bad handwriting... the 1 is really a 9" He then added to the 1 making it look like a 9 after the fact! I took a picture of the package and part he installed after he left and saw that you could buy the exact part for 20 to 22 dollars! The exact same part! I feel taken advantage of. I am very unhappy with what I feel is an excessive charge! read more

Jon at Mangano Plumbing does quality work and was very professional. We needed French Drains installed in our yard to prevent flooding. Jon came out the day we called him to take a look at the job. Within a couple of days we received a quote, approved the work to be done and it was completed in two weeks. He kept us informed on when the parts would be delivered, when the property would be checked for underground electrical lines, water lines and sprinkler lines and when he would be here to start the work. The boiler under the kitchen sink failed, and when the fittings didn't seem to be standard, we called Mangano Plumbing since they had a plumbing ad in the latest issue of Palm Coast magazine. Mangano sent a licensed plumber, Brian Hand, who arrived early. The plumbing turned out to be a cobble-job which required considerable thought and effort to restore. Brian handled it with aplomb. We were forced to call him back a few months later for a backyard job when the city called us about a significant leak. If we'd waited for Brian, the back yard wouldn't look like World World I trench warfare. Brian found the cause, put it to right and we're back in business.
