Rob was supper. He was originally here for a installation of a bathroom sink and vanity top thru a big box home improvement plumbing center. The job was perfect. I was so pleased I had him come back and do 2 other jobs for me. The first additional job was to replace the builder grade water supply gate style shut off valve for the house to a newer ball valve type. He had to jack hammer out the old one that was cemented into the concrete block wall and reroute in a the copper pipes in a "U" configuration into the garage and install the new valve. Now I have easy access to the shut off valve.. The second additional job was to replace the shut off valve for the cold water supply to my kitchen sink. He was so quick and neat to get it done. Additionally, Rob has good people skills as well as his professional efficiency, ethics, and plumbing skills. I would have him back in a heart beat should the need ever arises. Rob came to do the toilet replacement at the apartment. He was kind enough to pick the toilet from Home Depot and install it in about 20 minutes or so. It cost me $160, which was cheaper than any other place. Trust Rob and Pine Lakes plumbing, and would recommend them to anyone in the JAX area. Just joined Yelp, so I figure I'll contribute to a few local businesses I had dealings with. Pine Lakes worked on a leaky shower head for my Mother. Not sure how she found them. The price was good but she didn't feel comfortable with the guy that did the work. She's getting up there in age, so I wouldn't put too much into that. I would definitely NOT recommend Rob of Pine Lakes Plumbing, horrible experience and very substandard work. I purchased a Bosh dishwasher from Lowes and Rob of Pine Lakes Plumbing was Lowes subcontractor that did the installation I am having granite counter tops being installed in a few weeks and Lowes informed me that the dishwasher needed special brackets that the dishwasher is not screwed into granite. Rob arrived without the brackets that I purchased and said the granite company would put plugs into the granite and screw it in when the granite was installed. Luckily the granite company was present at the time measuring and agreed with me and Lowes that the dishwasher would not be screwed into the granite and that special brackets are used. Rob is obviously not knowledgeable with granite installations. Rob installed the dishwasher so it was not centered in the opening leaving uneven gaps on each side which looked terrible. I said it didn't look good and he said there was nothing he could to about it. Strangely with my persistence he finally got it centered but it took my pushing to get it done and he was getting very noticeably aggravated because I wanted it to look good. When he finished the installation my sink had a leak that his assistant noticed. When I said there was not a leak prior to his installing the dishwasher his response was, well there is one now and I should be glad he found it. I responded that he didn't find the leak, there was not one prior to his work, that he caused the leak. The flange in my sink is moved and dislodged which I will photograph and take to Lowes. At that point Rob was extremely rude and said he was done and wouldn't even bother with the paperwork and stormed out of my house. I found him to be totally unprofessional, extremely impatient and left my kitchen sink with a leak. I would definitely not recommend Rob of Palm Lakes Plumbing. I was never not polite with Rob but he grew increasingly aggravated that I was persistent that wanted it to look good. No one needs this treatment and substandard work when there are reputable companies available locally. read more
