I learned a lot from the vendors who were selling some of their gear. The studio itself is in a great location with plenty of space to park right in front. It's a very manageable space with a good amount of room to work with if you're looking for a studio to rent. Besides the main studio, there is a restroom, smaller room that could be used as a prep room, and a conference/kitchenette room with a full-sized fridge and drink bar. First off, he's extremely timely. He always gives me an estimate on when I can expect the photos from one of my events and he's never failed to deliver. Beyond that, he's always eager to provide the type of image I need, in whatever form suites me best. For example, he has given me photos through Dropbox, posted them directly to Flickr for me (if you've ever used Flickr before you understand how amazing he is for doing this), and sent them as a zip file. He also gets just the shots I need without me having to overly prompt him. I always end up with gorgeous photography capturing vendors, guests, and hosts. Probably one of the best things about his photography services don't actually have to do with his handling of the camera though. He's personable and pleasant to be around. This may seem trivial but try having an aggressive photographer attempt to get good, natural shots of people enjoying an event. It's not an easy task to blend in, and make people comfortable. Jim makes it look deceptively so! But the proof really is in the pudding. He's captured great shots in less then ideal circumstances. Hot, humid patio party? Large group shot in a narrow space? Awkward lighting? I've had all of these happen at events that Jim's shot for me and he's either had a lens, flash, or keen eye to find a solution and get me the perfect shot. We needed several projects done for our business. The projects were a few commercials, web commercials, and customer testimonials. When I first met Alan K. Forbes, we was very thorough in explaining the details of the projects, and what it took to get them completed. We had great communication through all the different stages. On the day of the shoot, Johan and Alan both were present at one shoot, and then another commercial I work with JT and Alan. Everything went as smooth as can be expected.
