What is nice is the entrance: you enter either descending down a winding stair through a tropical garden or you can a funicular (which is as cute as heck). The restaurant itself is just a rectangular box, that when full is as noisy as a cafeteria. They have 3 tables outside, and this was the first time that we sat here and if you must eat here, I recommend that you choose to sit outside. The food is another problem for me. The plating is very amateurish, and most plates look similar. All of their fish offerings are breaded and fried, which, to me shows a lack of creativity and is rather boring. I had their jambalaya, which was without flavor. Service is mediocre and confused. After receiving our appetizers, another waiter came to deliver the appetizers again. For the prices they charge, the food and service are not commensurate.

The food, ambience and service are all excellent. The food is unique in the area (I don't know of another Peruvian restaurant or anything even similar to this in the entire region). The executive chef is Biba Fernandes, who is also at the helm of Chicama (also in Recife). The restaurant is housed in what was a beautiful old mansion in a lovely neighborhood in Recife. The food is better described as Peruvian with a Brazilian accent. Our waiter for the two times we ate here (coincidentally and happily) was Sandro, who knows and explains the food and drinks available with an ease and comfort that only one of the best waiters can do. Not only this, but he is well-informed about many restaurants and hotels in the area as well as other restaurants that belong to the Association of Restaurants of Boa Lembrança. I really can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I will definitely be back to enjoy another dining experience here and I highly recommend that if you're anywhere nearby, that you should too.
