TOP NOTCH WORK AT A FAIR PRICE I can't say enough in praise…read moreof Erik and Nathalie. When my boiler suddenly stopped working, other contractors didn't even call back. Nathalie called that afternoon to say Erik would be right over, and he was! He explained what was needed and gave me a quote. And he came back early the next day, telling me I had to have heat ad hot water. They did the work thoroughly and efficiently and were a pleasure to deal with. And when my AC quit, again, Erik was there the same day. He showed me the material commonly used, which has major issues. He made a temporary fix, as the next day was to be hot, then came back to make a permanent repair. Nathalie runs the office and works with Erik when a job needs two people. He then said he would be 'a few more minutes' and fumbled and banged around in the basement and then left without speaking to us again. When a week went by I called and asked about the estimates on the jobs and the receptionist said they were still working on that and shared that the furnace cleaning cost. I NEVER REQUESTED OR APPROVED this furnace work although they said we had discussed it. So supposedly the technician was there to do the cleaning but 1. Never said that, 2. Never gave me a report or invoice. They also shared that they could not give me an estimate for the other jobs because the tech forgot to take pictures. I told them to forget it, paid them for the work I never authorized or asked for, and will never use their services again.

We called them to come clear a clogged kitchen sink. They canceled on us three times. When I called them again and told them that, they told me they weren't going to come because it sounded like if I didn't have success that they weren't going to be able to fix it. I then called Drummac who came out and fixed it in five minutes. Bernie Gage had a good reputation but in the long run they provided crappy customer service and I will never use them again and I will advise my friends to look elsewhere. They are not dependable, they do not show up when they say they're going to, and they backed out of a simple sink job because the work I did they felt demonstrated that they wouldn't be able to fix it. Or, more likely, there wasn't enough of a profit margin in there for them. Drummac on the other hand came promptly, very friendly and professional, and fixed the sink immediately with a snake. We will always call them first from now on.
