Nathalie called that afternoon to say Erik would be right over, and he was! He explained what was needed and gave me a quote. And he came back early the next day, telling me I had to have heat ad hot water. They did the work thoroughly and efficiently and were a pleasure to deal with. And when my AC quit, again, Erik was there the same day. He showed me the material commonly used, which has major issues. He made a temporary fix, as the next day was to be hot, then came back to make a permanent repair. Nathalie runs the office and works with Erik when a job needs two people. I had understood that it was due at least in part to a shallow grade of the outlet pipe...whatever. A couple of years ago, it had gradually become clogged enough that it was draining painfully slowly. I had RotoRooter out to clear it, and when the work was done, it was much better. It drained just fine, like before. Over two or three months this past fall, it gradually slowed down again, and I waited because I remembered how expensive it was the last time. Finally, there was no more waiting. It had become gross, it was so *disgustingly* slow, and I was even wondering whether it would require major work of some kind. I am so happy to have seen the glowing reviews here of Pipe Dreams. I called them & they were able to get me in in two days. Tyler was here for about an hour, and the tools he used were very different from the long, manual snake that RotoRooter had used. It/they were motorized things that had a reach far down the pipes. Tyler explained that he was staying mindful of the neighbors' pipes and not disturbing those. When he was done, he filled the sink with water & then released it. Since we bought this place all those years ago, I had NEVER seen it empty so fast, and I didn't even think it was possible. The water began to spin and make the most beautiful whirlpool and then was gone. The whole time he was here, Tyler could not have been more considerate, clear in his communication, and helpful. He also gave me tips on how to keep the drain clear. I kept meaning to write this review soon after he was here, but it's now been three months - oops! Here is the bright side to the delay: I can report that the sink has been draining wonderfully ever since, and it makes me soooo happy every time I use the sink. Call Pipe Dreams! Toilet install is Basic plumbing 101. They did not test their work when finished. Allen was very polite and on budget, but the repairs were not done right so I guess that's all all that matters.

He then said he would be 'a few more minutes' and fumbled and banged around in the basement and then left without speaking to us again. When a week went by I called and asked about the estimates on the jobs and the receptionist said they were still working on that and shared that the furnace cleaning cost. I NEVER REQUESTED OR APPROVED this furnace work although they said we had discussed it. So supposedly the technician was there to do the cleaning but 1. Never said that, 2. Never gave me a report or invoice. They also shared that they could not give me an estimate for the other jobs because the tech forgot to take pictures. I told them to forget it, paid them for the work I never authorized or asked for, and will never use their services again.

Seem to be nice people, however there work is awful, they brought our new kerosene tank set it all…read moreup, furnace worked for a couple days and then it stopped, they came back to put in a return valve that they admittedly said should have been done (red flag number one that they don't do the job right the first time) once that was installed the furnace ran again for a few days and then stopped working, they claimed that if we could bleed the furnace that it wasn't there wrong doing and that there was a part that was dirty that we needed to replace on our own dime. After calling up a company for a kerosene delivery the guy said there was no need to clean it being that the furnace is only a year and a half old and it looked great, also we would be able to bleed the line because there was still fuel in the line and to top it all off the line that runs into the tank was too long so it curled up off the bottom of the tank so we couldn't reach the 75 gallons we had in there....to top it all off the guy that came said he had never seen our style outside that it's typically used in basements, says he wouldn't have used that style but not to say it won't work. LONG STORY SHORT.... We will never be using bernie Gage again, they don't do the job right the first time unless they absolutely have to, and even then they can't make simple measurements so we can use our kerosene we bought.
