I had understood that it was due at least in part to a shallow grade of the outlet pipe...whatever. A couple of years ago, it had gradually become clogged enough that it was draining painfully slowly. I had RotoRooter out to clear it, and when the work was done, it was much better. It drained just fine, like before. Over two or three months this past fall, it gradually slowed down again, and I waited because I remembered how expensive it was the last time. Finally, there was no more waiting. It had become gross, it was so *disgustingly* slow, and I was even wondering whether it would require major work of some kind. I am so happy to have seen the glowing reviews here of Pipe Dreams. I called them & they were able to get me in in two days. Tyler was here for about an hour, and the tools he used were very different from the long, manual snake that RotoRooter had used. It/they were motorized things that had a reach far down the pipes. Tyler explained that he was staying mindful of the neighbors' pipes and not disturbing those. When he was done, he filled the sink with water & then released it. Since we bought this place all those years ago, I had NEVER seen it empty so fast, and I didn't even think it was possible. The water began to spin and make the most beautiful whirlpool and then was gone. The whole time he was here, Tyler could not have been more considerate, clear in his communication, and helpful. He also gave me tips on how to keep the drain clear. I kept meaning to write this review soon after he was here, but it's now been three months - oops! Here is the bright side to the delay: I can report that the sink has been draining wonderfully ever since, and it makes me soooo happy every time I use the sink. Call Pipe Dreams! Nathalie called that afternoon to say Erik would be right over, and he was! He explained what was needed and gave me a quote. And he came back early the next day, telling me I had to have heat ad hot water. They did the work thoroughly and efficiently and were a pleasure to deal with. And when my AC quit, again, Erik was there the same day. He showed me the material commonly used, which has major issues. He made a temporary fix, as the next day was to be hot, then came back to make a permanent repair. Nathalie runs the office and works with Erik when a job needs two people. Not only did he take care of the problem, and then some, in a professional way, but, was also a really good young man. The job was not easy but he stayed for close to six hours and got the job done in a superlative way. I told him that he didn't need to clean up and that I would be glad to do that. He cleaned the place anyway and did a remarkable job at that. Of course, it cost a pretty penny, but from my perspective, I do not mind paying if the job is completed in a diligent manner - and this was done so. Totally taking advantage that our buyer was there. When my husband queried the price of the faucet later, they said that they made a "computer error" and would send my husband a check for $150. We received the check today for $134!! Horribly dishonest plumber who doesn't back their work and is just intent on taking people's money!!

He explained everything clearly, and gave us his recommendations for a new system. The installation of 3 indoor units and the 1 outdoor unit will take 2 days. Derek happened to be at the St. Albans office when I went there to pay the deposit for the new system. He showed me a detailed diagram of the system which was superimposed on photos of the house. I am impressed with how he designed the system. For example, the line to my office unit will be placed underneath the rain gutter to make it less visible, and its condensate discharge will be positioned to drain onto the ground, not on the back deck. I am looking forward to working with Derek and his team as they install our new mini split system. I will say that the new system is expensive. But the expense is worth it for a variety of reasons: 1. COMFORT: The system will control the heat and humidity during warm spells. We will sleep better at night. I will not have to work in a stifling office or move to the cool, dehumidfied basement during a heatwave. One large unit will cool the living room, dining area, and kitchen, making the first floor comfortable. 2. VERSATILITY: In addition to COOLING, these units can be used to dehumidify only, as a fan only, and for HEATING. This means we can use these units during the heating system to help lower the amount of propane that we use as our primary source of heat. 3.
