The store was easy to find and only about a mile away from the main strip of Manly but that was far enough away that the crowds didn't come over. Private lot outside that was mostly full but there were cars coming in and out so wasn't awful.

Also, half an hour car parking surrounds this joint so it's best if you run in and run out (a small reminder of why I don't venture over the bridge too often).

When you walk past, you think it's a café, but the more you delve into the store the more you see just how much is available as a deli. Various cheese and meats, olives and the like; it's better than your ordinary Deli. The place is pretty big, and near the beach in Manly, so it's a great place, primarily, to stop for some fine foods and drinks in the manly beach atmosphere, and on the way out, peruse the stock for something to take home. Even better, if youre entertaining, you know the food they sell is good, as they also serve it in the restaurant. So you can sample it in the café, get some ideas, and recreate or invent to your own stylings with what you can bring home.

The papardelle was thick and chewy with a delicate cheesiness and had an essence of the flavours from the decadent duck ragu; which was creamy and melts in your mouth. Their homemade focaccia (with garlic) was dense, garlicky and not too oily. The perfect appetizer and perfect for dipping in the seafood soup. And their tiramisu was delicious and just a perfect finalizer. To conclude, their service is great - all Italian staff and so polite and welcoming. The food came out very quick. High prices but it's honestly worth it the food here is insane. This restaurant definitely doesn't have the recognition it deserves. The best food I've ever had.

Based on the ground floor within Balgowlah Totem Shopping Centre its a popular cafe being 1 of 6 eateries within the Centre however the point of difference is that Moreish Foods is also a delicatissen selling gourmet condiements, cookies, pastas and breads. There are two communal tables one right in the walkway of the Centre and the other within Moreish itself covered in Gourmet Traveller magazines and the like with a few other smaller tables. The food is freshly prepared and the coffee is very good. Both food and coffee are on the pricer side but all in all its a great place to take a breather from shopping or just to catch up with friends.

They've got the best array of carton fruit juices for endless cocktail concoctions come summer... and if you're a nuts fanatic, you'll get excellent nuts deals here. It's the perfect place to come for party snacks if you're planning to entertain. Every dip, cheese and cracker under the Aussue sun. Fruit and veg is all as fresh as it gets... sometimes it looks so shiny it's like every piece has been individually hand poished. You'll rarely have to wait because there's a stable of cashiers - all super friendly. The delicatessen runs virtually the entire length of the store llike a big deli bowling alley, and there's muesli to accommodate every diet restriction known to man. I used to do my full weekly shop at this joint. If you're wondering why it's called Harbord Growers when it's right bang smack in the middle of Freshwater, it's because Freshwater was formerly known as Harbord.
