The Beardance climbers were amazing pros, scaling 80 plus foot trees to remove limbs, in order to lighten the load prior to felling. The crew chipped limbs and cleaned up each day prior to leaving. In the end, after felling, they made the extra effort to buck up each trunk into 16" sections placing them on an accessible location of our property in order for friends and neighbors to take as firewood. The owner of this place is a complete a$$hole. Months in advance, I called him to discuss a small…read moreorder of sod. He requested that I call a few weeks prior and that he would have absolutely no problem accommodating the order. I did as requested and ordered my sod to be picked up the Friday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend as that's when I was going to be in town at my recreational property to do the work. I reconfirmed the order a week or so beforehand and he assured me it would be there and ready for me. I was in town a couple days prior to complete all prep work on time to be able to lay the sod and went out to his place to pick it up at 1pm, as I promised. When I got there nobody was anywhere in site, nor was there any sod cut and waiting. I tried calling multiple times and there was no answer. I thought maybe they were at lunch, so I went up the road to the tavern and had lunch myself. When I came back 30-45 minutes later, still nobody was there. I again called multiple times, but it just rang. That's when his neighbor showed up and said they all pulled out late morning and hadn't been back, but said he would try the owner's private cell and let him know I was trying to get ahold of him. As I'm driving home with NO sod, the owner calls me. He's clearly drunk and blaming me for him not doing his job. His resolution is to have me come back after the weekend for sod, which I explain to him is impossible as I'm leaving town on Memorial Day. His response, "Well, that's not my problem then". I advise him it's poor practice for someone to run a business the way he is at which point he starts screaming at me that he and his guys wanted to start the weekend early, so they left and then somebody already picked up my order...which then morphed into he thought I canceled my order since I didn't show up?? I asked where else I could get some sod on short notice in the Valley and he states, "I'm not going to send business to one of my competitors"?? I tell him to pound effing sand and hang up. Not 10 minutes later I miss a call and receive a message from him that one of his guys will cut and load sod for me in the morning at 9am. I try calling back and he won't answer, so I left a message that I would be there at 9am. I roll in at 9am and nobody's there. I try calling and calling, but no answer. 9:30 I get a call back from a kid that he's on his way. Clearly, drunky forgot to tell his guy he needed to do some sod in the morning. 15 minutes later the kid finally shows up, then has to go cut the sod and then we finally load it.

I had a very large, tall lodgepole pine tree that split during the severe windstorm we had last…read morewinter. It was right on the fence line, leaning toward my neighbors house and power lines. I needed a professional with the bucket truck, as it would be a problem regardless of where it fell. Whitefish Tree Service gave me a very reasonable estimate and included three other dead trees in the backyard. The day they removed the tree it was raining, but they worked anyway...and then it hailed while he was up on the bucket. These guys have quite the work ethic! They not only removed the dangerous tree and the other three dead ones, but to my surprise, they chipped up a big brush pile that I had in the back and left my yard looking great.
