He saw me shopping for glamorous old watches, and he had the Gaul to ask me to come over at 3am and trade my body for watch batteries. I told him absolutely not--so please all, watch your back when you are shopping anywhere. I in no way hold St. Vinnie's responsible for this incident, and in fact, I handled it all on my own. Please be on the lookout for people like that--they can appear anywhere. In the meantime, I love Thrifting, and I am happy to support non-profits any chance I get!

Looking almost as if they were brand new, I could put a spit shine on these if I wanted! $5 (NO WAY?!) ! This place has often been my "1-and-done" stop store. On a side note, some nice leathers on sale in the back during my last visit. Found a medium length jacket for only $30 - unfortunately, just a size up from what looks good on me! In addition to clothing, they also sell shoes, belts, winter gear and purses. The clothes are organized but there isn't a lot of signage/it's hard to see so it can be a little difficult to get oriented when you are looking for something. The primary room is packed with stuff so it's a tight fit if you're shopping when they're busy (especially if you're wearing a winter coat). If you sell clothing to them, you can either get cash or save it to use as credit - I believe you get 10% more if you choose in-store credit.

I was surprised by the selection and could see Plato's is "selective" with their choices. This was great though, as every piece of clothing I encountered was in great condition and didn't look like uncle Bernie's summer wardrobe from the 90s. Great famous brands, no generic pieces in the way, nice. This way I felt I didn't have to speed through the racks to find something interesting of high quality. Everything was of high quality and worth a look. The prices are higher than a thrift store of course with good reason, you get what you pay for. Instead of looking through 100 items to find one decent piece, you find that gem one after another. It is just a problem of which one then or, all of them!? Hahaha! You get the idea. They should be zero stars. They are swindlers and crooks. I brought in all American Eagle,…read moreHollister, and aerie clothing from prior season and they pretended like the clothing was not worth anything. They tried to purchase three of my Hollister items for $13 and told me that it was two items while they were hiding one with tags on it underneath two other items. This must be something they do; only purchase a few of someone's very nice items, to make it appear like there is a supply and demand issue, so you are more likely to take their measly payment. Anyway, first they tried to tell me that the clothing was outdated, but they actually took one item that was exactly the same as the other item in the basket, but one had tags and they took that on, and the other one didn't. But neither one had been worn, the one had just been washed one time. Lastly, so it's like they try to degrade you at the outset, and then they left my items over on their shelf and said they only wanted to purchase two items. However, I could see that there was another item, the item that still had tags below the other two items on the shelf. And I told them that there was three items there and they tried to gaslight me and tell me that there was only two items even after they could clearly see that I could see that there were three items. I told them I wanted my items back. And then they rolled their eyes and threw my items back on my basket. This is already like the third time something like this has happened, and this most recent time was the worst because they flat out lied to me and tried to steal my namebrand clothing after pretending that my clothing was trash. Someone special, I hope, gets my nice things that I am now going to donate to the local thrift store. Peace and better days for good people, and may the cheaters get their Karma
