I have a Kershaw Ken Onion Blur knife. It has 420HC steel and holds an edge decently, but like all knives, they eventually get dull. The last professional sharpener I went to was anything but and almost ruined my knife. It was duller than when I brought it in and had an inconsistent edge. Manny managed to save my blade and restore my knife to like-new condition. I paid 4 dollars for his sharpening service. It was well worth the money. Just a tip: His business is run from his house, and he also has a mobile service where he will come to you (obviously, it's going to cost more). Look for the house with lots of US flags on the front yard. read more

Truly good customer service and quality craftsmanship! I have cut my hair and friends for years in the Philly area. I had major access to an nice older guy that would sharpen all the barbers blades in the community. So I moved to NC 5 years ago and tried other local services that did no match the service I got in Philly. After cutting a friends hair one night I was furious that my unit blade was dull so that next day I purchased a new Andis unit. I so wanted to get the bladed sharpened to avoid razor bumps. I took a chance and search the net and came across MANNY"S YouTube. I took a chance and sent my clippers in and they where returned in great time and the customer service has been a JOY! Manny and his wife are the truth and the light when it comes to sharpening... My clippers are still sharp and it has been many months later!! When I brought my clippers to Manny, he and his wife not only sharpened them, but tunned them up for me, too... He even sold me a pair of trimmers (brand new in the box). I found Manny's by doing an online search for service on grooming equipment. My Oster seemed to not be working so I emailed Manny so see if he thought I should send in the blade or the whole clipper. Manny u r the best!!!!!!. i always shave my head clean. I use the andis outliner trimmer and i have used 4 in the past 2 years until i found out about your servicing. I like the andis trimmer but do you have any idea if this is the best for clean head shave or there is a better one u can recommend. Manny's is awesome. I've been using them for about 7 years. Always friendly, professional, and helpful. After they are done with my blades, they're just like new again and they stay sharp for awhile. I did try another place because I couldn't find Manny's phone number. I didn't think it would make that big of a difference having someone else do it but oh boy was I wrong! Best sharpening service on the west coast hands down. I had to find there pinpoint location after they stopped offering there delivery service. Quite a drive from the San Fernando valley but worth every mike. I have many tools to be sharpened and waited a good amount of time but the result is perfectly sharpened tools that enable me to be the professional barber that I am. If you have many tools you can drop of and pick up another day or wait it out. Since I only have a day off I choose to wait . Many fun locations nearby to check out like the outlets out there. Our poodle requires regular clipping. You'd think there would be a good place in Kansas City for clipper repairs and sharpening, but if there is we haven't found it. A Google search turned up Manny's, so two years ago we gave him a try. Our Wahl clippers came back promptly, carefully packed and in like-new condition. Now, after two years they need sharpening again so back they go to Manny, along with several knifes, scissors and such. read more

This family owned business is GREAT! My Andis T-Outliner clippers were dull, cord was frayed, and I accidentally dropped them so the blades were out of whack. Manny's wife (I believe) corrected the alignment, sharpened the blades, and put on a new cord in roughly 20 minutes. She then plugged in the clippers and told me to try them out. The clippers felt like i just bought them and they are at least 8 years old! Amazing job and even better customer service! I will also be coming back here to get my kitchen knives sharpened. So, I finally got sick and tired of my dull kitchen knives....so I google "knife sharpeners" Los Angeles and I find Manny's and Ross...Manny charges 3.50-4.50 per knife, Ross charges $1.00 per inch(of blade only)...do the math...this is easily 1/2 the price for most knives.. But, the nice thing is that Manny is a craftsman, he does NOT use a grinding wheel machine to hone the blades he does it by hand, the old fashion way!....My Henckel knives are now as sharp, if not sharper than when I bought them 10 years ago. Manny also took the time to teach me how to use a sharpening steel so I can keep the blades sharper for longer. He operates out of his home shop and I got my knives back same day! In any case, I was worried that I might get what I paid for, but I was very pleasantly surprised. And, for an extra $12, he refurbed my Wahl trimmer! read more

Called them on Tuesday, lady said she'd be in my area on Thursday...she called me on Friday and told me she was about 10 miles from my shop and could drive to them. Defeats the purpose of a mobile service in my opinion. I found it funny that they've driven to another shop where only 2 barbers use their services but they refused to come to my shop which has 6 barbers and 3 stylists read more
