Sean came by for our first service today, was very kind and thorough. Our initial visit was discounted quite a bit, which was great. he sprayed all throughout the interior and exterior of the house and made sure to let us know where the entry points for pests were and what we could do to seal them off. He was very clear that this is a process that takes time, but was confident also that we won't be seeing any pests in six months with consistent service. My quote to HomeShield was only requested a few days ago, and they were able to come by quickly to help put our minds at ease. At only $55/month I think it's a great deal, and he let us know they can come out again before our next appointment at no additional cost if we see anything crawling around. Brian came out the first day for a problem with rats in our backyard. He was going to place 3 poison traps, but then he said he only had two. He said he would come back the next week and place the third trap. He didn't call; he didn't come back to check if the traps had been entered or to bring the 3rd trap. We still have as many rats as ever. For the exorbitant amount they charge, I would expect better service. I can't even get anyone to answer when I call. I wish my service was as good as some of these reviews...are they real? Maybe Home Shield will call me and try to make amends if they read this. Paul Patané read more

I'm bummed to have to write this review. We had really hoped to have a good experience with HomeShield. First Kyle, who came to our home to assess our needs and estimate the cost was very friendly and helpful. Then our technician was very nice and respectful. We'd hoped to see at least some abation of the problem after the first treatment, but when we didn't, we tried to not feel discouraged as Kyle told us this sometimes happens and it may take the second visit to get control of the problem. We sighed and waited, and were very happy that our second visit came along. However, after the second treatment, again, nothing changed. I wrote to let Kyle know this (after waiting a week! Just in case it started working!) but did not hear a word back. We are so disappointed, especially as my husband just started cancer treatments and we were trying to reduce at least one big stress in our life: ants everywhere. We'll have to try another company now and just wasted our money and time. Sigh. read more

The service I received from Homeshield was 10 out of 10. I highly recommend this business if you are having pest issues or if you want a monthly pest control service. Braden was the representative that assisted me and was very professional and helpful with his assessment , offered suggestions and got me set up right for the monthly service. Stephan was the agent who came by to actually do the service of spraying and other pest prevention. Also ensured there were no wasp nest on my home. Stephan was very professional as well and helpful. Overall I am very satisfied with the service and pricing, I opted for the monthly subscription to ensure I could be pest free whenever a pest issue occurred, I have started seeing the results of the spray down that Stephan did, the bugs have been dying before even getting to my door threshold. I also liked the fact that they have organic options as well that are pet safe since I do have four dogs, and also desert tortoises. I gave them two stars because the techs are nice. For customer service, I would give them zero stars. First, despite my telling them it's my atrium that needs to be sprayed (which must be entered through the house), they frequently come and only spray my front porch without knocking to be granted access to the atrium. But by far the biggest problem with this company is that when you call them, you get put on hold with no way to leave a message. No one ever answers the phone. And when I emailed them yesterday to ask that my contract not be auto-renewed, they said I had to call on August 1 to cancel. But again, no one answers the phone. It's a real problem and I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Don't let them talk you into a contract. You'll be sorry. read more

I mean, he seriously couldn't be more professional, thorough, polite, and super cool. He went above and beyond. Sat down on the back deck with me, had some coffee, walked me through the diagram showing all of the possible entryways, gave me some tips on things that we could do on our own, and then worked out a super affordable price for us because he felt bad about someone who had come to our house previously, who was no longer with their company. I have consistently contacted them multiple times the last two months, they don't reply until I express extreme frustration and they have not visited my home in the past two months. Had several wasps nests--two that were way too high for me to get to myself--that needed attending. Found Homeshield on Yelp and reached out. Within minutes I was on the phone with Logan (?) and he set me up with an appointment for the next day. It was a four hour window but my pest control agent Germayn (pronounced Jermaine) got to me on the earlier side. I got a text from him about 30 minutes before he arrived.
