The outdoor dining area is fully covered and big with plenty of tables. Don't drop your keys or coins as it will go through the floor. The view is pretty good too. There were four of us and we all had something different. The quiche was "lovely"; the sauce on the hamburger was good; plenty in fisherman's basket but the pot pie was the pick. It is a bit of a drive from civilisation so make a day of it. Remember it is cash only and no cards.

The room had a super comfy bed and a decent size Flat screen TV which was an awesome set up for watching the tennis! They have a microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster as well as a full range of cutlery and China which made dinner a breeze. The staff are super friendly and efficient. The room was very clean and although the decor was a little dated it felt like it had been really well maintained. The location is ideal if you are road tripping up the coast as it is really close to the highway and has stacks of parking. They also have the option of breakfast in the morning if you choose starting from $5 per person. We were very impressed with this little motel.

Today there is a karaoke event going on in the bar in the next room. Add about 2000 starlings outside trying to settle for the night and it's very noisy. Other times I have walked through and it's very quiet. They have some interesting menu items but what is on the website is more extensive than what is actually offered. No veggie nachos, for example. They have beef nachos but you can't take the beef off because it's all mixed together already. I ordered the nachos anyway, figuring I could separate the beef, which I was able to do partially. I liked the dish over all. There was a goodly pile of chips with the beef mixture, guac and sour cream. I would have liked more beans. The tomato bits and jalapeños added flavor. With the addition of a draw of Tooey's it was a tasty meal. The place wasn't busy and the staff wear masks as do customers. There's a sign on the door that says you must be vaccinated to come in, but I don't know if they check it.

When I passed through it was actually rather quiet, and it certainly isn't one of those trendy inner city pubs. Basically they only have the standard beers on tap, but I still rather liked the place. Most locals refer to the pub as the "Pymbie", drawing in workmen for its cheap steaks and a beer or two. Upstairs houses functions and can hold over 100 people. Unfortunately the bistro closes relatively early in the evenings if you want a bite to eat. The food is good and there is plenty of entertainment from the standard pub trivia night to pool competitions and social events. I certainly wouldn't recommend this place for a big night out- it's usually quieter than a mouse.

Receptionist was very helpful and patient while helping me check in, I had a handful of questions and she was able to answer them all very nicely. She upgraded me to a room with a complimentary balcony even though I literally booked the room 10 mins before I showed up, she even remembered my name when I ran into her in the lobby again the next day, and greeted me very politely. Made me feel very welcomed. They have a counter full of useful tourist information, providing places to go, and things to do, perfect for self traveling tourists/visitors. Safety feature: (can also be a hassle, but I would rather be safe than sorry), in order to go up to guest suites, you need to swipe your room key to use the elevator. Decent sized room, very clean & neat. Chair and table for relaxation on the patio ready for you already, decent sized bathroom, with tub and shower. The only thing that bothered me resulting in -1 star is the AC unit in the room, when it starts operating its pretty loud and in the middle of the night, can sound like someone is entering the room, and also, it seems to be always idling with hot air blowing out. Good place, probably will return for future visits.
