I found this hidden little boutique style yoga studio on my Classpass app. They had a noon yoga class and I needed me some good ol Namaste vibes in the middle of the work week... signed up, loaded the addy in my gps and headed to NW Austin, (parking was a little tricky) walked in to a cute studio with a friendly smile and quiet greeting from the gal behind the desk. There was a class going on so it was hush hush... I gave her my name, signed a quick waiver and was asked if I wanted tea and was told to put my stuff in any available cubby and she would be there the whole time watching our personal belongings. Safe :) The studio was very trendy and clean. They sell lots of Prana clothing and Manduka mats. I went to the bathroom (very clean) and noticed there were massage rooms as well. One stop shop! I met Chad the yoga instructor who was just finishing up his class. He was super cool. Nice vibes and very present and courteous. I also had the pleasure of meeting a sweet lady named Janice who happened to be the lady who was going to teach my noon sesh! The class was fun, super chill. 8-10 women who all knew each other so apparently they all are regulars. We did handstands, wall squats... some ommmmming and chit chatting. Very relaxed class. Also took a group pic at the end. Janice was very kind and paid special attention to each and every person in the class. She truly has a heart for her practice and wants everyone to enjoy Yoga! If I'm in the area I will definitely check out her class again. If I lived closer I would definitely be a regular at the studio! Great vibes from walk in to walk out! The last 3 studios I have been to I literally have overheard negative gossip between members and instructors and walked into terrible conversations that drain you... A friend and I went to Studio Mantra yesterday. We took a class called Mantra Fit. Our instructor Melodee was amazing. She was actually the best instructor I have ever had. The class was hard and worked muscles that I did not know existed!!! She explained every move and gave us options for different levels of fitness. The class was extremely positive and uplifting. I felt like a million dollars when I left. The studio is also beautiful. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. I almost want to keep this place a secret ;) A true hidden gem. read more

I am fairly new to Yoga, having just started practicing at 48. But I have never been to a studio that feels as comfortable as this one. It's beautiful inside and very homey. I've taken classes from several different instructors and have enjoyed them all. Each instructor is different and brings their unique way of practicing to their students. The staff and instructors are very friendly and genuinely want to help you get as much as you can out of your practice. I have always hated to exercise but I can honestly say I LOVE yoga and this studio. They make practicing yoga fun! read more

I dropped in for a class the other week at the suggestion of a friend and am so glad I did. Amy, who is the owner, not only checked me in and answered all my questions with a genuine interest and warmth, but also taught our class. I really like the concept of this studio- yoga AND massage AND add-ons like facials and child care, etc. I just had my first massage here and it was great. Jacqueline paid attention to detail and was very thorough. They even ask you what type of music you want and the intake form asks for your pressure preference- which I've never seen before. GREAT FOR THE BODY AND SOUL!! I have tried several of the different classes at Studio Mantra and have loved them. Rather it's the high paced cardio workout of the Mantra Fit class or the slower but still beneficial Yoga Basic class, I've felt great everytime I've participated. Two of my favorites are the Mantra Sculpt and the Mantra Barre classes. They offer a great introductory special at a low price for a week of unlimited classes so you can get a good feel of what they offer. I highly recommend!!!! read more

This is hands down my very favorite place in Austin to get a massage! I begin to feel more relaxed the minute I walk into the studio and every massage therapist I've seen has seemed to intuitively know where I'm holding my tension and how to work it out. Studio Mantra is my all time favorite studio in Austin. Laura Teal is The. Best. I've since moved out of the area but trek back every so often to take one of their fabulous yoga classes. This yoga studio is terrific. It was hard to find a yoga studio with great vinyasa classes that aren't heated but then I found Studio Mantra and the search was over. Excellent classes and wonderful teachers. Plus, they have a 6am class so I can do yoga and still get to work on time. I highly recommend the flow and fit classes. read more

I love this place! Conveniently located, cozy atmosphere, cool shop with yoga clothes for sale and great classes. I am extremely inflexible and historically not a huge yoga person, so I tend to lean more towards Mantra's barre, pilates and Fit classes. I have seen a difference in my body after classes with Melodee, Judy, Robin and Eliz. On the rare occasion where I brave a yoga class, I don't feel too awkward because of the kind and encouraging staff! Great massages here, too. I'd much rather support a neighborhood business for a massage rather than driving out to Lake Austin Spa or going downtown to a fancy day spa. You get your massage, enjoy some Yogi tea afterwards and 5 minutes later, you're home! read more

This is such a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! The variety of classes--from yoga to barre to cross fit--keep your fitness routine from getting boring. I recently tried a couple of classes here. The space is a bit small but comfortable. The staff was friendly but not hugely welcoming. I tried two different yoga classes and teachers. Both were solid instructors and led good classes. I didn't feel inspired or excited to return, possibly because yoga isn't a priority for me right now. I'm interested in trying their other offerings and I would definitely try Mantra again in the future. read more
