A very friendly warm clean and inviting branch of the Royal Bank of Scotland offering a traditional…read morecounter service in addition to an external automated teller machine (ATM). The branch offers the facility to deposit cash and cheques as well as make withdrwal requests over the counter. They also offer a foreign currency service in addition to travellers cheques. This particular branch does not open until 9:45am on Wednesdays. On all other days it opens at 9am.

So good to see the same faces and know that any queries are going to be dealt with by 'accountable' people instead of the 'faceless' staff so many companies hide behind these days. Always helpful and cheerful. Sometimes queues at busy times, but they do seem to acknowledge this and pull extra staff through from the back where available to deal with this. I have high expectations where customer service is concerned, but even I am impressed with this bunch!

A good little branch which have started opening on saturdays which is a bonus. They often have…read morequeues in here to use the counter services, but to be honest they move quickly so they're rarely a problem. The staff are helpful and always ask the obligatory questions regarding account review? or try to sell you an isa or a new mortgage or something like that which can get annoying. However I don't think that is branch specific - I get that in EVERY natwest I visit! They have excellent disabled access so its great for me with my pushchair, and parking is OK, not immediately outside but there's a free carpark behind the building so its only a short walk. All in all, its a very useful friendly place - I would say that it is annoying that its open at 9 every day, but 9.30 on a wednesday. Why Wednesday has to be different i don't know and as a customer its confusing but then again its in a village so perhaps its just an old fashioned branch!
I needed a loan and my credit isn't just poor, it is abysmal!…read moreI went through another very large lender / broker based in Essex and all they did was mess me about for over a week. Every time they called me they asked me for something else and I was getting really fed up with them. I spoke to Chris at Any Type of Loan because they are based just down the road from me in Bromborough and we got everything sorted out the same day and my loan was paid out 24 hours later. I didn't get quite as much as the other lender offered but Chris explained that is because they lend their own money and are only a small lender so they have to limit what they lend. Very, very happy with the service and would recommend them to anyone.

TSB's new branch in Liverpool city centre is located right next to H&M on Lord Street, I did…read morepreviously like, the old branch TSB had in Liverpool but this store is obviously an improvement with more indoor cash machines and it is just overall a more modern branch with the added benefit of being one of the only banks in the area to include Sunday opening', ditching the draconian opening hours which many banks across the city, especially in Liverpool tend to follow. It might still close early at 4 pm, but this still is progress in the right direction especially considering Sunday trading laws exist, which force stores to close an hour later at 5 pm anyway. As I recall this is the only bank in Liverpool to have Sunday openings until Metro Bank opens at least. The store reminds me of the new Manchester store, albeit slightly smaller and I only presume this is now the new template on which TSB stores will be built on, while also having a small selection of umbrellas you can borrow if it's raining (this is pretty handy!) I do find the seating area in the store to be a tad basic, they felt like they were just thrown in from the old store and really didn't match the modern nature of this one, I also do feel coin facilities could be handled better with a proper counter compared to what they have now. The staff didn't seem overly friendly. I still do prefer the Natwest branch across the way which I really do like the more digitalised and modern approach which is a slightly larger branch too, but this still is a pretty decent bank and it is nice to see TSB move to a more modern branch in a slightly better location within Liverpool city centre but I do feel improvements in other areas to match the rest of the store really are due. 3*
