They had a few options for soil as well one was straight pulverized topsoil ($31/cuyd), next was a 50/50 blend of topsoil and manure ($33/cuyd) and last was a mixture of 1/3 pulverized topsoil, 1/3 compost, 1/6 aged manure, and 1/6 sand (garden mix, $36/cuyd). Since were using this dirt for a flower garden and a vegetable garden we went with the latter offering. The dirt was very clean (in 9 yards I found one tin can and maybe one larger rock) and it was mixed well. Their website is very helpful and has accurate pricing along with delivery charges for the different areas of town. When I called they were very courteous on the phone even when I called to switch days because it was raining. The driver called to verify my address as well as where to put the dirt. Very satisfied with this place!

They admitted to hitting it right away and tried to fix it. It still looked bad and the door won't stay closed, so the owner offered to replace it. It is about a $250 mailbox. He stated he could either wipe our bill or he would pay for the new mailbox and would dig it in for us. I stated I wanted it replaced because it kept flying open; plus, we didn't want to dig the new one ourselves. In the meantime, I asked him to quote our shrubs on the backside of the house. Chet was a no show and called hours after he was supposed to be at the residence to quote the job saying he would need to schedule for another day. This wasn't the first time they blew off an appointment, so I called it a day and just took the free tree trimming as payment. It isn't cool when a customer reserves time out of their schedule to stay home so that a business owner can come to make a quote. We always lock our gate unless we are home, so he would not have had access to the yard. I haven't used Olathe Tree Service since then, because I don't appreciate my time being devalued. I could have gotten over the busted up mailbox because they do a good job otherwise. . .

This is a review for a brand new home build in blue springs…read more Our home was purchased in March 24th 2023. The grass that was laid was green but really patchy. The cracks in the sod were humongous. I remember doing the walkthrough with the builders thinking these are some big cracks. Is that going to be okay. The builders said "Yeah, it should be fine..." should be? Which sounds to me that it wasn't. We called into Blue Cedar Landscape to inform the management of the low quality done to our house. The person who answered was nice and friendly but We were informed the manager was going to make a trip out to our house and examine it. We got some information about with the incoming heat of about 80 degrees we had to water our grass about 3 times a day. We're trying our best. The hose has been running none stop daily. This grass isn't getting any better. We haven't heard anything back from management. I do not now what would be done anyways but for them to come out and fix it would require a lot of work. Blue cedar has a major contract with Rausch Coleman and are probably getting rich off this while we were in a brand new home paying for a lawn that looks like garbage. I'm not even going to talk about the dead plants that we're planted in our front yard planter.... That's not my concern as much as my Grass... Maybe Blue Cedar Landscape will treat you better as a client of 1 vs a client of 100 homes. I know house mass production jobs work. It's all about knocking them out and then quality is reduced. In closing? Before closing in your new home CHECK their work. Or take a chance and hope blue cedar will do better work if you hire them individually.
