It's pretty huge, but I was hoping more local farmer/produce options. This was cute though because the center of it was a playground, and a pavilion for a live band. The street is closed off on Sunday mornings for the event and there is plenty of parking- there's an entire garage and a parking lot. I loved going to the Tower Grove market but this one is closer to home, has more accessible parking and is so much quieter! Many of my favorite Tower Grove vendors also come to this market. If you find the crowds at tower grove to be a bit stressful this is a great market for you. They have vendors with all kinds of fresh produce, homemade salsas, jams, fresh eggs, and meat. There are also flowers, artisan dog food, kolaches, homemade pizza, and breakfast sandwiches. Kitchen Kulture is also always there with its incredible samples and premade meals. Some Sundays the market has more vendors than others and occasionally they have food trucks as well. Like Tower Grove, they have a system where you can use your credit or debit card to buy tokens to use for the vendors that only accept cash. However, almost all of them take cards. I've loved going there this summer and so hope they'll be back next year. They also have live music playing and the man who does it is very talented- sets a great mood!

Step 1: Schedule a Saturday off to yourself (yes, the Market's open Wed-Sat, but you get 100% vendorship on Saturdays) Step 2: Set your alarm clock EARLY! The trick is the "when" do you get there? Wait til the later hours of the day.. and every shop will be empty that you went for! I've learned this too many times in my sleep-in days, to get there way too late to find so many of the shops sold out, or the "runts" of the sales left. So figure out Early and then getup before then! Step 3: Get in your car and go shopping!!! (Follow the map of course!) Plain and simple you want fresh produce.. this is where you go. Whether it's veggies,. meats, baked goods, coffee, soaps, sweets, snacks, and even alchy beverages if you so desire! (and you just might as the day goes on) Get there early and load up! (Just warning you, you may have to make a few runs between your shops and your car, considering what you -could- load up on. Now as stated by many, it's a smorgasboard of what you can find, all along the entire market. (but just a word of advice, whatever you buy at the market, please clean and store PROPERLY as soon as you get home, this is a farmer's market and you can lose some fresh produce REALLY QUICK!) And just remember you're going to have to fight your way through the crowds. because EVERYONE and their relative knows to come here. (Picture yourself in a demolition derby with everyone.. cause that's what it's going to feel llike... Controlled Chaos! **See I knew I'd fit the title in here somewhere*) I will admit you there are some vendors that sell the usual "touristy wares" on occasion, such as "gold jewelry", Sports uniforms (Battlehawks, Cardinals, Blues), you know the quick .. touristy stuff. But the real value is the food and the food 'trucks', including BBQ , New Orleans style cuisine, mediterranean.. you know everything you can find at a farmer's market :) STEP 4: And to top off the day. a real daiquiri or bloody mary to seal the deal! She has seasonal garden flags and handmade crafts plus items like matching trivets & towels themed for fall or Halloween. Very low prices. There was a tent with a very cute blue pick up truck and I don't remember the name of it, I'm sorry, but they had a large selection of mums and some were absolutely gigantic. Excellent options. I noticed only one or two vegetable stands and one stand selling local meats.

Fresh made ice cream pops, baked breads and treats, organic spices, cold and hot coffee booth, jewelry, fresh flowers, excellent woodcrafts, fresh honey and of course Miss Becky's salsa shack. She is always serving up fresh cooked tortilla chips and several of her best homemade salsas. Plus live music. It's worth it to check it out. Some vendors are on and off weeks.
