I had an awful experience with this place, and I will NEVER be going back. They didn't even bother to send me a reminder for my appointment, and when I missed it (because, surprise, life happens!), they charged me the full amount without any warning or consideration, mind you I had been calling multiple times to confirm the time to avoid this exact situation but nobody answered the phone. I reached out to explain the situation, and they were completely unhelpful and dismissive, as if customer service doesn't matter to them at all. This is hands down the worst experience I've had with any salon. Their lack of communication and professionalism is shocking. Don't waste your time or money here! I got my eyelashes done here after purchasing a Groupon and Alma did such a PERFECT job! I've never been so satisfied with my lashes. I got my refill Saturday and I've yet to lose a lash and it's Wednesday. The receptionist is also very sweet and doesn't make sitting in the waiting room boring or awkward while you wait. Be very careful that you cancel your appointment 24 hours before. I got sick this morning with a virus and called to cancel my appointment that was already pre paid for. No one answered so I left a vm. They still charged my card $50. I called back and the lady said that they have strict rules and there was nothing be done. I told her that I thought that was ridiculous that they charged me that much knowing a few hours that I was not going to make it due to a virus. So not only did I pre pay for a refill, now I still came out $50 more. I am very upset. They lost a customer and I will not even go back for my refill that has been paid. I was considering becoming a member but I just can't afford paying $50 for a missed appointment when life throws so much within a 24 hour frame. I understand your policies. I really do, but the fact that my appointment was at 12pm and I called at 9am and no one answered. I then called back at 10 and still no answer and that's when I left a vm. Also, I understand you couldn't get another appointment in such little time, (2 hour) but what did you really lose if I had already had PREPAID for my refill? The cancellation fee is very excessive $50? My own Dr who would lose 4 times more doesn't even charge that amount. Again, it's your business, you can choose to charge whatever it is you want. I just felt your customers need to know about your $50 cancellation fee. And yes, I should've read all the fine and print but I didn't. It's my fault but with that much of a fee it should've been verbally warned in which it wasn't. I'm done it. Lesson learn! Ask before hand. read more

She was so apologetic and took full accountability for my experience with one of her staff members. She just wanted to make things right. She offered a complimentary Brazilian so that I could experience a proper Brazilian and personally waxed me. Pam is phenomenal at what she does and it was virtually as pain free as could be. She certainly turned my experience around and I will be going to her exclusively from now on. Thank you, Pam! See you today!! Went in for a Brazilian yesterday and it was the worst and most painful experience I've ever had. I am a seasoned waxer because shaving and I do not go well together. I have experience with sugaring, hard and soft waxes. I've even been waxed at 34 weeks pregnant which if you know anything about pregnancy, you would know it increases blood flow down there and makes you more sensitive to pain. Yesterday's waxing experience was by far much worse than that. I also instructed the Colleen to leave a strip and I was pretty specific, "pinky finger width" and by the time I grunted and cursed through the pain, I realized she did not leave the strip I specifically gave instructions for and waxed me bald and at the same time left patches of hair all over the place. Needless to say, It was not worth the money and I will NEVER return here. andwill go back to my usual place even though it is now 45 mins away since I moved. STRIP CENTER BEAUTY? Just being honest, I wasn't expecting this average looking strip center location to be so dang beautiful on the inside. Serously the decor is so trendy/chic/pretty! Like it'd been plucked from the pages of Elle magazine. I've only tried one of their services - the airbrush tanning. While getting bronzed this way can easily get awkward, it didn't. My girl was very chill and professional. The whole process took about 25 minutes and then I was free to go. You can call or make an appointment online, which is what I did and it was super easy. I also liked that they had wi-fi (they'll give you their password if you ask). My tan lasted about 4 days full throttle - the less you exfoliate, the longer it'll last. I did it before vacation so I didn't workout/sweat in that time and I shaved before I went so...didn't have to do that 'till around day 3. The tan was even, looked good, and generated multiple compliments... pretty much all I was going for :) read more

Stay away!!! Very unprofessional and only concerned about money! This place is not at posh salons anymore. They have 1 small dirty room for lashes and the spray tan area is a mess! The make up area discourages any purchases just by appearance. I wouldn't take any of it home even if it was free! It was like a kid tried all the colors and then left it there-dirty and disorganized! There is no sign of hygiene here at all. I had my eyelash exetensions done at the heights location and the started the come off the second day I had them. By day seven they were completely gone. Pam the manager at the heights location tried to make it seem like it was my fault but i followed all the directions. I didn't use any oil based products on my eyes or mascara. My lashes were not fully and I think that's why they were all gone within in a week because they did not apply enough of individual lashes. I called to see if they would give some kind of discount to fix them and the answer was no! I would have to pay $189 again to get them done. Such a Scam! This was my first time getting eyelash extensions with them and my last. I will truly recommend you go to a different place to have this done. read more

Any time I call to check on available powder base colors when I have to get a refill for my Jane Iredale make-up they are always very friendly and accommodating even to go as far as going to The Woodlands to pick up my base color if they don't have it at their store. Pam was especially nice and accommodating as recently I was interested in a particular lip stain color that they had just run out of. She offered to drive up to The Woodlands to get it the next morning and to meet me at the store that afternoon. Well it was a holiday weekend and they were supposed to be closed but she said she didn't mind as she was going to go up to The Woodlands anyway for something else so it would be no problem. I had my eyelash extensions done at The Woodlands location by Amy. She is so wonderful. She is professional, sweet and took her time to make sure my lashes looked perfect. She seems to love what she does and can't wait to go back. The place is also very nice. The decor is very chic and makes you feel like you are getting pampered just by being there. VERY disappointed in this place. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Manager (Pam) was very unprofessional and refused to honor a package of air brush tans that I purchased from the previous owner - even though their policy is to honor these packages. Pam's poor records did not show my purchase, and she insisted that even if I could prove that I had purchased the 3 tan package, that she could not honor it because she wouldn't know how many tans I had used (1). Instead she tried to pressure me into paying another $55 for a spray tan! Go to Satori salon for a spray tan instead - nicer folks, honest, and better quality. read more

This was several months ago and I'm still going routinely to Maquillage (Heights and Woodlands location) for eyelashes. The price is reasonable and my lashes generally last the entire three weeks. All the employees I've met have been extremely friendly and helpful, especially the owner Pam. After talking with Pam over a lash refill session, she told me that she does make up services so I booked her for myself and bridesmaids for my wedding. I bought the eyelash extension groupon and was super excited about using it. I wanted to get them before a wedding in Utah so I booked the appointment for the day before my flight. When making the appointment I asked the girl over the phone if it was okay if i got the treatment done the day before my treatment. She said, sure I don't see why not. When I recieved my confirmation email, it had a tiny link at the bottom that gave information about how to prepare for the appointment and any other questions I might have. I kind of thought there wasn't going to be much to prepare my eyelashes so I disregarded it. Totally my fault. I will absolutely take the blame for that. I should have looked. But when I got there, I knocked on the door and the esthetician opened the door and there was a man in the room. They just continued talking and she didn't really speak to me. I didn't know exactly what to do. So I waited for the man to leave and she asked me to fill out the consent forms. When going over the consent forms I noticed it had a lot of things that conflicted with my schedule. I also had no idea that I needed to take out my contacts for this. So when I asked the esthetician more about these questions her answers were very firm and rude. "Well, you can go buy contact solution across the street". Again, my fault i didnt know i had to do this. but the way she told me was so rude. the vibe i was getting from her was so crass. So after i went to the store to get solution, I came back and was asking her about not washing my face for 24 hours. Instead of trying to offer tips on how i could wash my face and prepare for my plane trip without ruining my extensions she kept saying, "well if you want to reschedule" "most people just dont wash their face..?" "People don't get these dont before special events". She was so rude about it. Very patronizing. She really wanted me to reschedule. I think what bothers me the most about this is that I am an esthetician and I work for a very busy spa. I never rush clients out the door or make them feel like they are stupid. If a client forgets pre treatment instructions, I kindly go over the proper way to prepare for a treatment and not tell them.."well my other clients understand...". I told her i didn't want to do the treatment anymore and I was just going to ask groupon for my money back. So when i left I sat in my car trying to contact a manager for this salon. Apparantly there is no manager available, if you call the other centers, you get someone who has no connection to that salon. Very frustrating. (hence why im writing on yelp, since no manager could help me out). About 5 minutes later, the girl came out with all of her bags and equipment and left for the day. It was obvious she wanted me to leave so she could leave and go enjoy the rest of her day. I just don't recommend this place because the girl is so unwelcoming and has a very snotty attitude. I love Posh Salons because they are independant and awesome workers, but this girl just needs an attitude adjustment and i think management should have a better role in handling clients complaints. read more

I find out about this salon on groupon, and it was a total waste of time and money!! For starters the receptionist/manager is uninviting and dry, and I was serviced by a rookie lash tech. I purchased a Groupon for a full set and a refill. My first appointment was for a full set of classics. After the 3 hour long application of lashes, I looked in the mirror and immediately noticed they were not placed close enough to the base. I informed the manager, but does not seem to know much about the service. I informed one of the more experienced lash techs that I was concerned lash set would not last. I was assured that if I was unsatisfied I would be able to return for lash repair. Well I called two days later because the lashes were falling out 5 at a time. I returned for repair and the lashes were corrected to my satisfaction by a experienced tech. During the reinstall, I was informed that the false lashes were not adhering very well and my not last. Sadly enough it was true, they did not last but fours days. I called and canceled the refill appointment because there was nothing to refill the following week. I called and asked the manager what could be done in Lou of the refil. She referred me to the Groupon representative that she could not provide a name or contact information for. Okay sure. I was very polite about the matter because, I believe it may just be the adhesive that's doesn't work for me. She made a snorky comment, that obviously I'm unhappy with the services they provide but they have never have had anyone complain. REALLY ??? I have never paid over $100 and sat a total of 6 hours for one set of lashes that can't last a week in all my years of wearing classics or volumes. Got the groupon for eyelash extensions, and was excited to see the results. Unfortunately it wasnt at all what I was expecting. It may be partially my fault since I didnt discuss what I wanted beforehand with the technician, Sheree, but she also did not take my coloration, eye shape or size into account. As a result I ended up with clown lashes that looked like were bought at a Halloween superstore. Im small and fair with light lashes. The lashes she left me with were super long, super black, and super unnaturally obvious! Plus they didnt lay right so I had patches going off in different directions, and the material felt stiff. Nobody would ever have thought that these were my lashes, even if I tried to pass them off as coated with thick mascara. Im going to have them removed as soon as I can find another place to take me in. I went to the Heights location. read more

I bought the Groupon for lash extensions. I had had extensions before from a different salon and wasn't too pleased with the results, but I thought it was just the technician was too inexperienced. My technician with Maquillage was very nice and helpful. She applied my lashed quickly and they looked great... for a week. Even though I followed all the rules my lashes still fell off and took most of my natural lashes with them. I LOVE how the lashes made my eyes look, but I won't get lashes again. It has nothing to do with Maquillage, which is why I gave them 4 stars. My lashes are just too fragile for the service. read more
