There is a store…read moreand exhibit space when you enter, with staff members who can give you a great education about the fort, it's history, and why the town is named Elizabeth. Great family experience with the kids, too. Especially fun to then tour the fort which has been re-constructed or re-produced from the original. A video presentation is available in the lower level of the store, too. And admission is free. As good as it gets.

And this was our last rock...! Set along the riverview with a lighthouse and a steamboat in the background along the Mississippi River... I'm not sure we could have picked a better rock to end our journey with! Not only do we learn about the military involvement and the contributions of veterans in each county... A lot of times we stumble on other hidden gems, that we had no idea even existed, as we venture further into our own backyard. As happy as I am now that we have all 99 and finished our Freedom Rock Tour...a little part of me is going to really miss these trips. We'll just have to find another "tour" to pick up!
