*Updated Review* After the terrible experience from below, I was contacted by Kenya. Kenya went above and beyond to make sure my case was handled and that my legal journey could be an ultimate success. She was extremely communicative and answered all of my questions. Thank you for taking care of things Kenya and for caring about your customers! I greatly appreciate all the hard work you put in to make sure I was happy. Absolutely terrible communication. I started my divorce case back in April and I am still left with questions that no one seems to be able to answer. My attorney filed the paperwork for my case and claims that she had a hard time obtaining a summons so the other party could get served. We filed paperwork for a limited appearance because she said it would help her get the paperwork. In the meantime, my wife also petitioned for divorce in a different county TWO weeks after I did and I was served papers before she was served hers. This caused me to have to pay Marble even more money to respond. After filing my response, I kept talking to my lawyer and asking her when my wife would get served papers since she told me that she was going to have her own private processor do the job. When I heard back she said that her processor was on vacation but she would let me know when the deed was done. That was almost 2 months ago. I have emailed both my attorney and case manager about the issue and no one seems to be able to get me answers. Everyone just disappeared! No response from anyone. Has my wife been served the paperwork? What's going on with my response? I spoke with my case manager 2 weeks ago and she told me that she would get back to me by the end of the day...still waiting. So not only has this entire process been extremely stressful...it's also expensive and I do not know what it is that I'm paying for. I could have just gone to the Court house myself and filed the paperwork for a quarter of the cost. No one answers the phone, no one answers emails but they were super quick to grab my card info! I do not recommend this company. If you have money to spend, go for it. I'm in soo much stress then i was before I hire them. I really dont understand were their good reviews come from. It starts from the finance team, James be careful with this guy he's good at misunderstanding what type of case you are asking for on purpose and wont send you the contract until after you have already given all your bank info and personal life away. I was offered 10% discount when i told them that the mistake had been done on their end and laila confirmed it. But 10% off come on now and on top of that i had to add another service to get my other case done. The child support case was very stressful even if they gave me a bigger discount this company cannot be trusted. I could have gone to another law that would of cause me less stress and money they would have actually cared for me. There are bad reviews on BBB, Google, Avvo, yelp, youtube. Unfortunately, I was desperate when I hired them because my court date was coming up soon. When it came to asking to add for another service, they were quick to send me a quote and have their team member contact me immediately. If I would have known about all this reviews, and how much of a joke they are I would have never hired them. I was completely impressed whenever I learned about marble law, I was quickly shown that I shouldn't have been so easily trusting. I've had my case open for months now and cannot get in touch with anybody. Every time that I call I am told that I will get a note in my file and have somebody call me shortly and I never get responded to. I have been calling every week for the last two months. I have wasted so much money on the little that I have received. Now I'm stuck trying to decide if I should just find another lawyer or continue to wait in hopes of something moving forward. I would really think twice about giving this company any type of money if you were needing any type of help with a case I would definitely look elsewhere. This may seem like a cost-effective option for legal counsel, but just do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. LegalShield is a great choice! I truly wish I had considered looking here before I got into crippling debt with this predatory company. I desperately needed an attorney who didn't require a large retainer. They assured me that they would be able to represent me, but as the date approached, I was informed that the chosen attorney would be on vacation, and it was too late to find anyone else. The attorney continued the case, causing the other party to rethink simply returning custody of my children. The attorney then went on to continue court dates, which should have been the fault of the other party, and bumbled through the ones she did attend via Zoom. In the end, the attorney pushed for trial and then dropped me as a client because she didn't want to travel a little less than two weeks before the trial date. Now, I'm stuck with this debt to pay off and had to look for other legal counsel on top of it. The new counsel charged half the price and actually took my case seriously! read more

For over a year I have been a client of Marble Law. I hired them to represent me and I gave them a month to prepare. at the last second, I was told I would be flying solo without representation. They marked the contract that I was represented and completed. Even though the lawyer never showed up. They did help me file the correct paperwork... next, we had a court date. At the last second, the lawyer gets called into a court hearing Which makes him late for my court hearing. He is completely unprepared because he did not have a chance to prepare after his court hearing. The magistrate reschedules the hearing for 3 and a half months later. The lawyer says that we will get me a court date sooner. I have called repeatedly for an update, I have sent texts and emails I have called the customer service number and they tell me my case manager isn't available she's at lunch and will call me back as soon as she gets back. I haven't heard from anyone for over a month, I don't know if I need to sign a new contract, which they apparently count my lawyer's appearance even though he was completely unprepared and all he said was a request to reschedule. and the only way I can get anyone to call me back is by writing a nasty review. read more

I am feeling like a fool for trusting Marble Law. At first them seemed great and making payments is amazing. The quote they gave us seemed high but we were asking for custody, child support and change of venue. For 2 months we, not the attorneys, gathered paperwork and did 2 phone consutls. I had to go to mediation alone without representation which was odd but ok. We did the change of venue and they closed the case. We haven't even went to court for custody or child support. This is a scam. I am not into bad reviews, we tried to work with them and ask to speak to someone else. This isn't right and they don't seem to want to make it right. We have paid thousands of dollars, for 1 court appearance towards change of venue, the real issues are to start now, but they have closed it saying the lawyer filed paperwork and that was all they do. We need help from corporate to make this right. We went to file for BBB but they aren't accredited with them. Again, am I a fool? If they don't help and make it right, then yes. omplaint Details On July 19, 2022, I signed a contract with Marble Law to handle a family law case. I was seeking a child support mandate. I have had a monumentally difficult time getting prompt responses to my questions since. The firm does NOT explain that they only offer limited scope services until after you have remitted fees. My representation does not reply unless/until I contact my case manager. The attorney assured me he was filing a modification motion within the week. When I checked back, I was told, "by the end of the week", which was already two weeks from the day he'd assured me. He asked what terms I wanted in the modification agreement, and I submitted those. He sent me a very late motion...for ANOTHER client! I drafted up an agreement and got my ex-spouse's signature. On 8/9 attorney e-mailed my ex-spouse the exact agreement that I executed and asked him to sign "to avoid appearing in court." He insisted that my ex would not have to pay any of my fees; his tone was very conciliatory, as if he were working in his best interest instead of me, the paying client. The attorney said that if my ex did not respond within 10 days, he would secure a court date. We are nearly a month out, and I have heard nothing. I e-mailed both attorney and case manager. If I drafted the agreement myself, and the additional terms I asked for were not presented, I basically handled my own case. Avoid this firm at all costs. They should be sued and all the partners serve jail time. It is a scam! They take your money and do nothing for it. We complained endlessly after they took multiple payments and did not do one shred of work for it. They refunded our money. Then, 1 month later they charged us again. And we now have to chase them all over again. In the meantime the case we were trying to resolve has gone nowhere. They must be reported to the CA bar and have all of their licenses revoked. Be cautious, before hiring this company The following was my review back in October for my financial manager Josh, who did a superb Job, when I first hired Marble for my family law matter; I would like to give a big shout out and a sincere thank you to Josh, for having helped me through this process at Marble Law. To date, Marble is not representing my family any longer, and I am updating my review of this company to help others and for-warn people before hiring this company for your family law matter. FYI, Marble did fully refund me. While it is a fact, that every case is different and that the outcome of cases will always vary on a case by case basis, however proper representation of a law firm in any case regardless of its nature, must receive the proper attention and be attended to most effectively until the final judgment. While Marble law attempts to utilize online platforms and technological systems in order to be more efficient, that does not explain why myself and so many others do not have the proper access to their legal team, to include the case manager, paralegal, and the attorney assigned to the case, and it definitely does not explain why so many cases do not receive proper attentiveness by the attorney and the legal team, as so many reviews have stated that their attorneys did not even show up for their court hearings or do proper filing, and that the attorneys or anyone on the legal team cannot be reached for weeks and months and in one review for almost a year. This has zero to do with the nature of the case, but has everything to do with this company. Of course, all this can depend on the specific attorney and legal team that is assigned to a case and has also to do with what the state the case is located in, because naturally Marble may have a better set up in one state vs the other, but either way, one must be very cautious before hiring this company based on so many unknowns and specifically not knowing when or if at any point you will lose proper access to your legal team and your attorney. In most family law matters, if a case is uncontested, one can simply go find a local attorney for a few hundred dollars to receive a divorce. However when it is more complex and you may need proper representation, while it is very nice to have a company like Marble with payment plans and all, that is only worth it if one is guaranteed proper representation and access to your legal team, and when one can feel secure that they will be most attentive to your case and give you a proper representation up to the finish line. Absolutely no law firm can or should guarantee results, but to have a law firm by your side to represent and fight for the rights of your children and yourself until the end, is of utmost importance and a must. One can carefully examine the good reviews of this company. Most of them are detailing their great experience at the beginning, as I had too, with the set up of the payments and the financial team. However wait until the case starts and moves along, when one cannot reach anyone on their legal team for weeks or months, and only when one writes a bad review, and receives a response to that review, only then will someone say that they will be in touch with you, but we don't have proof to know if someone actually calls those people, but regardless it is usually too late by the time that happens, your case is already messed up from lack of proper attentiveness and representation. My advice, to anyone seeking proper representation, is to save up $1500-4k for a retainer to a reputable attorney in your area with good reviews. Most attorneys will then work with you to pay the rest in increments as your case moves along. In my case, after I was not able to receive access to my legal team for close to 2 months, I finally received a call from the senior manager, following multiple attempts of mine to receive contact from someone At Marble. While the manager gave me some explanation, however no explanation was sufficient for what had happened to me and to so many clients of Marble law, and I would advise anyone to be extremely cautious before hiring Marble for any family law matter. So, I finally had enough of this trash company and decided to cancel my service request with them. Not only did they give me a hard time about not wanting their services anymore because of the unethical behavior I experienced, but they decided that losing my original documents for almost five months and giving me a complimentary skip trace was worth $6,000. I was never represented in court, as you would think for that amount that they claimed I owed but no I wasn't. They tried to file ONE document that I didn't agree with, but everyone knows filing a paper with a court clerk isn't worth $6,000. They have been horrible and no help at all. one of the attorneys was nice to deal with but in the end it was just about getting the money and then they where done with you. The information we were given was so inaccurate and lead us down the direct opposite path we should have been on. We were grossly taken advantage of and was charged almost $3000 for something that took. This place is a nightmare. First Call was great, First consultation was great. Once you sign the contract and pay, it's like magic, Everyone disappears and you get no more help. Marble case managers never return calls, When you call in to the 800 line to try and get ahold of someone else, they refer you back to the case manager (the one who already doesn't return calls) They don't know the chain of command therefor can not put you in contact with someone above the case manager. Attorneys at Marble handle your case based on the package you purchase. If you need more done, your attorney can't move further without Marble middle man to say say. However Marble does not communicate so we are stuck with an upcoming court case and no plan or strategy from an attorney because our case manager Erik cannot follow through. Erik is supposed to be finding us a new attorney and all he did was let us know he can't find any in our area, because that was our request. But we assume he is still looking. However, April 7th was the last time he reached out. Court is May 6th and he still has not put us in touch with the attorney who is taking over our case. Talk about leaving you in a creek without a paddle. This place is so focused on the initial consultation and the sign up, and they have dropped the ball when it comes to actually taking care of us once we become a client. I doubt they get repeat business. If you are in need of real help, Marble is not the place to get it. For your own sake, Run do not walk. $5000 for a single zoom court appearance. I'll be paying $163/month for the next several years. The attorney I had did her best, however nothing changes the fact that I did all the work myself, and no real headway was made in my case. Unfortunately, it was my bad for not doing my investigating about getting a local lawyer first. Custody hearings in Santa Cruz County are always super biased. I'm a single father on welfare, with disabilities. Going to school full-time and raising my daughter all on my own. Mom is driving around a brand-new car, probably still dealing drugs, never paid a dime of child support, and still gets unsupervised visitation. The only reason I got the upper hand in this situation is because mom failed to appear for a surprise drug test, I ARRANGED.... The attorney I'm still making payments on had absolutely nothing to do with this. In fact, the judge shut her down and made me do the talking because she was stumbling over the facts in the case, and her internet connection was subpar. I wish I could get at least a partial refund. The only redeeming factor about this law firm is that when I can't afford a payment, they skip a month. Otherwise, I'd go with zero stars. Also, this county always takes mom's side no matter how great a father you are. I just want mom to be court ordered to go to rehab, but it'll probably never happen. I really can't blame Marble for that, but they certainly didn't help in this case, which involved an episode in which my 5 year old daughter was met with verbal and emotional abuse by her mother and her mother's boyfriend. Originally reported as physical abuse, CPS didn't even bother to investigate! I just want mom to be court ordered to go to rehab, but it'll probably never happen. I needed a lawyer for my child custody hearing just to represent me for 2 hours, I did all the paper work by my self. (Legal & physical custody was the goal) . They said that would be $3700. I have no choice but to go for it because of my situation at that time. They said there will be 30 minutes consultation with the lawyer first, which they did contact me for consultation. The consultation lawyer seems very knowledgeable. I thought that is whom I am going to end up with but it turns out they did assigned me to another "lawyer". He was very unprofessional! Every time I called he will say he is in a meeting & he prefers I email him. During the hearing the lawyer (Edgar Diaz) & I attended via zoom. He attended the hearing from his car which was very dark and he can't be seen, even the judge said where are you at, you are not being seen multiple times. He was driving because he had another appointment so he attended my hearing while driving to another appointment. Finally, my goal was to get Legal and Physical Custody of my child from his alcoholic father. The judge decided I get visitation for now and determine the case later. We have trial coming up but as soon as I paid off the money because they charge a flat rate they dropped me the next month saying the attorney quit and they couldn't get anyone else. But the attorney told me she was still working for them that they dropped me. They only gave me half the money back and they didn't even do anything! This place is a scam! They charge a flat rate so they can drop you and keep half the money without doing the work. I hired Marble in August for an enforcement order. They assigned Stephen Hernsberger to my case. I was told the enforcement order should take no less than a few weeks and they would help me start to see my son as soon as possibl. Two months later, the lawyer has forgotten about the first hearing, and canceled the second hearing due to one of his clients needs are greater than mine. He stated, like it no big deal, he will get a new hearing sometime in the middle of November. After he forgot about the first hearing, I told him that waiting till November was not acceptable, especially since he is the one who stated we need to get in front of the judge as soon as possible. Stephen Hernsberger does not communicate at all, on October 17th, the date of the first hearing. I had to reach out to home to see what I needed to be prepared for in the hearing. His response was, "what hearing?". He then said it was because he could not get my ex served, even though he said he could serve her lawyer. I have scheduled time off of work for the hearing, not only is he costing me critical time with my son, he is also costing me more time off of work due to his lack of communication and care in the case. I should have checked the yelp reviews before paying for this law office, I paid $49 for 20 mins consultation, however, the attorney was very rude not helpful, and hung on me!! so I called them back and asked for my money they said sorry for that and we can assign you to another attorney!
