AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Please don't waste your hard-earned money on this company. After my mother's first court hearing, for contested guardianship. Being a senior she found it hard to navigate the court system. She realized she needed court representation. After many calls and emails to many different lawyers and time running out for her next court appearance, so decided to go with Marble. My mother paid them over 8K for their limited scope representation, where they would prepare and file paperwork needed, and a lawyer to appear for 4 court hearings. Those 4 court hearings don't include any trial days. The lawyer they provided us is a nice guy, he does keep in contact with us when we email or call him. That being said. He is not aggressive when it comes to advocating for my mother. Although, he says he has years of experience, he comes across as if he's new to this. He didn't present the evidence that we provided him, and we think it would have made a difference in the judges decision when determining keeping our visitation schedule. He even asked us to collect evidence that we already provided him and Marble. We don't feel he properly prepared himself. We now have a two-day trial date set. Marble is asking us to pay for addition service for a trial. They are asking for 11K! We don't think they earned the first 8k! Now they want 11k! When I looked over my mother's contract, I noticed it said the lawyer got paid less than $2,500. Meaning Marble took the remaining $5000+. Marble took the majority of the money and didn't provide us with any service. They haven't prepared or filed any petitions, Judicial Council Forms, declarations or affidavits on my mother's behalf. He had some of my information because I had input it into the website for the call but he wanted me to pay upfront for a consultation without speaking to my husband first. Slow, expensive, and ultimately useless I hired an attorney through Marble Law for almost $2.5k to draft a prenup, which took two months. The language in the draft was confusing and required lengthy back and forth emails with an experienced attorney who was not clear in his explanations. Later counsel told me that the draft document appeared unenforceable, so I fired them and asked for a refund for poor quality work. They refunded me $600 of the original amount (paid upfront). So now I'm out $1,900 and two months of my time, and have to find a competent local attorney. My fiance's lawyer drafted a much clearer and detailed draft in 2 days. If Marble is not an outright scam, it is pretty close. We engaged them for help with an immigration matter. They charged $49 for initial consultation, which resulted in a no-show for this initial consultation. Marble call center then rescheduled our consultation. The attorney on the call (I assume it was an attorney) said that everything we needed can be done in the time we need to get it done! The scheduler / call-center guy then tells us to pay up in advance (first flag). He wanted us to provide credit card information even before an engagement letter/contract was signed! While we spoke to him, we looked up horrific reviews about Marble. Once we began to hedge and reconsider, he turned second hand car salesman / rental car insurance salesman (might be offensive to those salesman) - he initially said we shouldn't wait anymore to when can we decide so that he could schedule a follow up call. He clearly did not want us to take any time to mull over this decision. We hung up on him. 1) Quality was poor the lawyer they referred is not professional at all didn't get started on petition to establish paternity even though I've established that all ready when my kids was born. Didn't start the paperwork for child support/ visitation, nor filed them with the court. The charges me 50 dollars for a 10 min consultation, and when I retain them on 9/16/2024 I was promised that in two weeks this stuff would be filled out and filed. When I paid the 2,600.00 hundred dollars I was also given a 10 min phone call. I looked up the lawyer on the State Bar of Arizona and found 21 public records. Had different Attorneys, The 1st Attorney was great and met me at a Starbucks and I would have used him the whole time but I guess he had something come up and they switched me to another attorney who was horrible, didn't file my paperwork on time, which cost me more money to respond to a court order. UGH.... It also took 3 emails to my Marble paralegal and my attorney for me to get an answer if they filed my financial documents. That is so unprofessional. I now have a local attorney who has a paralegal and I can schedule an appointment or text them and I get a response within an hour. I had court dates quickly approaching, and responses to the opposing party that needed to be filed. I was assured by Marble that they would get right on it, and documents would be filed immediately. Needles to say I go to court in two weeks, and after a six weeks in, NOTHING has been filed. I have made phone calls, and sent an email to Marble stating my concerns... They still haven't responded. What makes matters worse is I am paying $9,000+ for LIMITED SCOPE services. For $9,000+ I "get" my discovery response filed, request for discovery, and Trial. I called last month for a divorcé consultation. I picked a time and they confirmed via email and text. Once the appointment time arrives, no one called me. Afterwards I was sent a texts inquiring of my interest. "I'm sorry you missed the appointment. If you would like to reschedule...." I reluctantly reschedule. When I was called I spoke with a screener, not an attorney. Not a total Waste of time, but all of my questions were deferred to a future appointment of which I needed to pay a retainer fee and set up a payment plan. My issue is serious and I was hoping that an attorney advertising consultations would be available to assist and not being being passed on to a screener / sales person. Once you select the services and pay this is where you may get ensnared in their lack of consultation in a timely manner and being forced to deal with a call center and horrible virtual chat. They do not reply or update or offer any communication. They do however collect their payments. I hired and made my first payment in December 2022, it is now April 2023, they have not started on my case and they were even confused about what they were doing for me. They blamed the confusion on losing a staff member with my file and information but they never reached out to notify me or correct the situation. We lost out on a very important opportunity for a young lady we've been raising for the last 5 years. She graduated high school with amazing grades and wanted to go to college. Due to COVID, adopting her was delayed. Against my better judgment, we hired this firm to help us make it happen quickly to meet deadlines for college in the fall. We were told via email that the entire process would only take 4 months, it's been ten. Plan B is to now wait until she turns 18 in September, then she could apply on her own, but has to wait an additional year to apply. Unfortunately, taking her in wasn't planned, so we didn't have the cash saved up to pay for her tuition. By adopting her, we could have used my wife's disability benefits from the V.A. to cover the expense but that deadline has now passed. Of course, Marble is just a referral agency, which is why I didn't want to use them. You pay them to find you an attorney, generally struggling attorneys. The entire setup is prone to failure, aside from low-hanging legal fruit. The attorneys Marble hires are forced to work at a fraction of their hourly rates, meaning they focus on the easy money and push others aside in pursuit of quick cash. Most legal issues are complicated on some level, so many suffer as we have. If you look closely at the positive reviews found on Google and such, they look fake. I hired Marbel Law on 10/31/2023 to replace a law firm that was not acting on my behalf in response to a Divorce filed by my ex-spouse in February of 2023. After paying an initial consultation fee, I took out a personal loan for an initial down payment and have made regular payments to date. My initial call from my assigned attorney was scheduled, missed, and then rescheduled. After discussing the case history with my assigned attorney, I was assured that she could handle the case and adequately represent me. The call lasted less than 10 minutes and was completed in the first week of November 2023. Trouble began in February of 2024 with the receipt of a letter from the opposing counsel regarding a stipulation agreement that was signed the previous year from the sale of a joint property. I sent the letter to my assigned attorney and notified opposing counsel of my new attorney's contact information. Since then, it has become a battle to get anything communicated correctly, timely, or consistently, promises made by the assigned paralegal and attorney and not acted upon, and having to act on my own behalf to resolve issues until I had had enough that I filed a complaint with Marbel. In June of 2023, I requested a follow-up with my attorney regarding the aforementioned stipulation via email, and after no reply, I sent a follow-up email on July 2nd informing my assigned attorney that I would be reaching out to opposing counsel. My assigned attorney called me immediately afterward requesting that I do not reach out to opposing counsel and after explaining the situation to her, she said she would counter by drafting a stipulation on my behalf. Further communication from my attorney indicated that she had been in contact with the opposing counsel who initially agreed with the stipulation that had supposedly been drafted. On November 15th, I sent an email to Marbel Support regarding inaction, lack of communication and concerns over how my case was being mishandled. I was assigned a Client Representative who was working as an intermediary between me and my legal team. From this, I came to the conclusion that I was being gaslighted by both sides and what the assigned attorney had informed me was totally different from what the client representative from Marbel was telling me. On 12/17/2024, I received a voicemail from my Marbel representative that my attorney would be calling me on the Monday after the holidays. Not surprisingly, this never occurred. On February 6th, 2025, I reached out to the court that was assigned to my case and a clerk was able to help me access a Case Summary and list of events, fees paid, and activities. To my surprise, the court has me listed as Pro Se without legal representation. Important filing dates and responses have been missed, certified mail to me from the court was returned as undeliverable, and there is a hearing scheduled for 2/21/25. I have requested a Master Bill that shows everything that was performed, invoiced, and paid to date but have been told that services rendered are available on the client website which it is not. Upon the initial intake fee, you are lured into a solace that they are there to help you. After your contracted co-counsel attorney consult, they report back to Marbel estimated cost. Marbel Finance takes the estimated cost, and adds surplus fees and percentage fees for a total cost. Then they will contact you and set up a down payment and finance schedule. Once you have made your down payment, they set you up with a portal account so you can upload your documents via onboarding exercises to keep you busy thinking you have found helpful representation. Once onboarding is complete and they have received your first payment, the only real communication you receive is from the finance department informing you of when and how much is expected for your next monthly payment. Choosing a legal representative is a decision of immense trust and expectation. I was seeking diligent, empathetic, and competent legal representation, which at this time, is severely lacking from Marbel Law. As with others who have posted, and in retrospect, I have concluded that Marbel is not a legitimate law firm despite marketing itself as such. Instead, they act as a referral service.
