This is a review on behalf of my husband (though I have come with him every time he shops here because I just love this store). This is one of the best men's clothing stores I've ever been to! And I've been to a lot! In Rome, Florence, Paris, NYC, Boston. The service at Marc Allen is second to none. My husband is still figuring out his style and these guys are wonderful guides. They clearly love what they do, and they have a lot of fun, which translates to an awesome customer experience. You'd think that a high end, made to measure and bespoke men's clothing store would be stuffy and intimidating, but this place is not. I really appreciate that! There's no snobbery here. Just good clothes and people who know how to dress you. Speaking of the clothes: amazing. They source incredible fabrics of the highest quality. I love walking through the store and just touching everything. The cashmere- ugh. So nice. And so many different cottons. And wools. And silk. Oh my! Their tailors will ensure that everything fits to perfection before you take it home. We have purchased items off the rack and had them tailored, as well as made to measure shirts. I was in the store today to meet with the owner, Marc, to talk about his involvement in a charity event that I'm running. For starters, the simple fact that he is involved to the level he is gets the store bonus points - and that he takes time during the workday to meet with me is truly generous... But that generosity is not the purpose of this review... While meeting with Marc, the phone rang, customers came in, a package was delivered... He was the only staff person at the store during our meeting. He attended to all of the goings on, while remaining involved in the meeting with me. He delivered terrific service to a customer in the store, while meeting with me. Most people cannot execute his level of service while multitasking, but I could tell the customer did not feel neglected whatsoever, and for him to keep our meeting going while so much else was going on -- when I was there to ask for his time and money, of all things -- is a testament to his commitment. In addition to their bespoke pieces, they have an exceptional selection of high-end menswear and are always ready with some helpful advice. This shop is my first choice whenever I want bespoke. I have been working with Cheryl Petteruti at Marc Allen for about a year now. Cheryl has transformed my wardrobe from one that I can get by with to one that I am proud of. I typically have a function or two per week that I need to dress up for and look good and Cheryl has nailed it for me. She has set me up with multiple outfits that can be interchanged with each other. This has eliminated the dreadful process of trying to decipher which pants go with which shirt and coat. Cheryl completely understands the fashion industry and is an expert at applying it to every arena from casual to formal.
