Furthermore, while the results of my bloodwork were good and unloaded into the patient's portal the following morning, Dr. Smiddy had an associate call me just to reassure me that everything was fine, which is a courtesy I've not experienced since patient records were put online. The facilities are relatively new and thus clean, modern looking, and equipped with some of the latest medical technology. They also have an X-ray machine on-site so you don't have to go to another facility to get X-rays taken and also an on-site physical therapy office. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with my experience here, which includes the front desk, nurses, and lab techs. If you are looking for a general practitioner in Midtown, I would recommend checking out this office.

Her office uses an online patient portal to communicate and I can send her a message through the portal and she responds usually within the hour. Since I am an established patient, she is always willing to work me in for a sick appointment when I need it. I also like that she takes a conservative approach and doesn't always rush to put you on unnecessary medication, yet when you do need it she will tell you and make sure that you get the medication and care you need. I am not always happy with the staff at Laureate Medical Group, mainly the front office staff, but I think you probably get that at any place, so I stick with Dr. Wender because she is a very good doctor and very responsive.
