I was told by the Surgeon & staff I would have immediate relief from the pain. Right after surgery I had to be sent to hospital that i'm still trying to pay off now. Since surgery my pain has been much worse. I've had 3 MRIs. Dr McWilliams saw my comments on yelp & reach out to at least try to help me. Im so grateful for that. We all have the same insurance and my husband and I have never had a problem with ours. Apparently, since we started going there they have had my sons insurance information wrong and we were not told this until 2010. Every year we fill out a new form for address and insurance and while they updated my husbands and my information they failed to update his, because of this every time they filed a claim it never went through. Since they never updated his address we never received anything in the mail until 2010 when they file collections under my name which had the correct address of course. When I tried to get this information on print out they at first refused and were belligerent towards me. After about 3 months of dealing with them, insurance and the collections agency, insurance finally decided to refile the claims to make it easier on us. They didn't have to refile and the doctors office would have been out of the money because it was their mess up. Today my son sliced his finger open pretty bad at school. When we went to the doctors office they refused to see him even though he had blood running down his hand. Apparently there was an old bill in 2007 that was under a different insurance that we didn't know we had. So after 3 months and insurance paying $500 they rufused my son service over $165 from 2007. This is supposed to be a CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION and they turned away a 6 YEAR OLD because of $165 from 2007. Would you trust them with your family?

Dr. Hicks treated my father and we went through a couple of prescription changes until he found what worked best for my father. Dr. Hicks did not stop until my father's blood work came back "normal", which was by January 2017. I feel that Dr. Hicks took the time and listened to us, especially since I was my father's translator. Dr. Hicks is very old school, he doesn't have a nurse who assess you and does the initial interview, rather he does it all himself. It's an office of a very small staff, they're a little outdated, but I'm there to see the doctor, not the office. 10 stars for Dr. Hicks!!

During the appointment, the new physician asked questions about her existing medical history, including cholesterol and other previously diagnosed conditions. My wife answered those questions but did not seek treatment for any new issues. The physician ordered routine blood work, including tests that she has received as part of her annual physical for several years. We were surprised to later receive a bill for a separate office visit. We were told that because pre-existing conditions were discussed during the appointment, the visit was billed separately. We also received a separate bill from the lab for the blood work. What makes this particularly frustrating is that my wife has had these same routine tests performed during her annual physicals for the past four years at this practice without receiving an additional office visit charge or lab charge. Patients should be aware that discussing existing medical conditions during an annual physical at Northside Primary Care Midtown (previously Midtown Medical Associates), even when responding to questions from the physician, will result in additional charges. Basic tests such as cholesterol, lipid profile etc. is not covered under the annual physical with this practice anymore. We wish this had been explained clearly before or during the appointment so we could have made an informed decision. We are disappointed and concerned about the transparency of the billing process. We will look for another doctor.

I asked is the policy in writing anywhere and she said NO. They were extremely rude and it seems to me this is actually UNETHICAL. Even so, I really like this place and of course the Dr. Sophie Lukashok. Shes very thorough, empathetic, and compassionate about my concerns. She seems to take her time with me too unlike some offices where they rush to get through to the next patient. I brought my 15 month with me because I didn't have anyone else to keep her on short notice. Dr. Lukashok and her team were very professional about her. Finally I've found a excellent female Doctor that I can go to for my primary care. Theres not enough doctors that have good bedside mannerizims in the states either such as this place.
