I saw multiple pairs of travelers forced to sit apart because there was simply no space. They crammed people in like sardines. Thank God for Priority Pass, because I can't imagine anyone willingly paying for access to this place.

It was pretty empty when we arrived around 7AM. It had coffee, tea, and an assortment of pastries, lots of beverages (Schwepps, Coke, etc.) , cereals, yogurts. They are not as busy as the Milan airports (Linate or Malpensa) and there is a lot of history at this airport. They heavily promote local brands such as Ducati motorcycles and both Ferrari and Lamborghini cars at the airport. They have store locations within the airport that have the brand merchandise that you can purchase prior to your flight. The airport is well organized but no where as glam and glitzy as the Milan Malpensa airport.

No!! Not here, the group assignment on your ticket is of no concern. And then you find out why - everyone rushes to the line and then you find out you're not actually boarding a plane but being taken by bus all around the outside of the airport . Do you leave after the bus is full? No! They stuff you in like a sardine and then you stand for 30 minutes before being taken to the plane. Then everyone bales off and it's like a gladiator fight to reach the stairs up to the plane. No wonder Italy is a haven for pickpockets (don't get me started on the buses or the train stations) with everyone shoving and crunching all of the time. I hate to say it, but I hated the bigger cities in Italy.
