I get tired of eating the same pizza all the time and this pizza tastes so much better than some of the other chains. I liked the crust the sauce and the toppings. The online ordering process was pretty easy, the site provided excellent descriptions of the food (which turned out to be accurate), and there were lots options. The delivery was right on time and the driver was very courteous. But the best of all, the food far exceeded our expectations. We expected reasonable edible food. We wanted to try a new pizza place and had seen some commercials so decided to try Marcos. The staff was nice and the upfront of the store was clean. When I first walked in the girl at the register said hold on then just walked away. There were 3 other employees and one of them came and asked if I had been helped and took over w a great attitude and welcoming unlike the first interaction I had and started to give very regretful that I chose this place feelings. All that went away talking with the girl who got my order and rang it up. Food was good, I do feel like and was not the only one to say that the cheesy bread definitely needed more cheese. The pizza was great. no changes needed there at all. The pizzoli that was another story, when my partner cut it in half we were both seriously freaked out and trying to laugh to not get upset, this thing was a JOKE! I decided to order pizza since MSC UVA partners with them for monthly resident discounts (40%). Even with 40% off, Marco's Pizza is not worth the cost. Ouch! Ordering online is quick and efficient. Their website is easy to navigate, and I ordered for pick-up (carry out). The location is tucked away off the main road, but is situated in a strip of stores. I ordered one of their hot deals for two deluxe pizzas (which cannot be combined with other deals and promotions, so I was ineligible for the 40% discount). One pizza was the bbq chicken with blue cheese and the other was the white cheese pizza, which I customized with mushrooms instead of meat. The pizza dough was thin and I'm not convinced the dough was entirely cooked. The chicken was low-quality, and tasted like the pre-cut, packaged chicken strips you get at the grocery store. I found it odd that the base of the pizza was essentially a plain cheese pizza too; it didn't look like the pizza was made fresh, but rather my toppings were added to some strange base pizza made with cheese and tomato sauce. The bbq sauce didn't mix well with all the flavors going on. As for the white slice, I was confused by the soft, limp tomato slices. Maybe I misread the ingredients, but the taste was subpar. I could have done without them. Overall, I had a poor experience. Clearly, Domino's $5.99 deal is superior/unbeatable. I will not be returning to Marco's Pizza (a sad excuse for a national pizza chain and an abomination to a NY native). I'm rating 2 stars for the service, but 0 for the food (taste and quality). read more

Came in today to have lunch with a family member. Great service, ordered a Hawaiian pizza to take home for dinner that evening. Sat and ate a grilled chicken Caesar salad that was fantastic. Large slices of Parmesan and very fresh lettuce. The chicken was tasty and a great portion. Family member had a cheese and spinach calzone that is reportedly very good. I have no doubt the pizza will be very good as well. I recommend this restaurant based upon the friendliness of the staff, one of whom was providing outstanding customer service phone etiquette training to her staff while I was enjoying the great tasting food. Also, the store extended a generous discount to military veterans! I will visit Marcos whenever I can! read more

I have never spoken with a more hostile woman on the phone. She told me my address "wasn't a valid address" and was SCREAMING when, in fact, it is my literal address. There is no reason to speak to another person that way no matter the circumstances. I feel sorry for whoever has to converse with this woman. All I wanted was some pizza and I was verbally berated. Update: I received a call from the other owner Scott. He was very apologetic, unlike their business partner. He gave a lending ear and attempted to at least help in this situation. They charged me $32.00 twenty-one times. They stated that was an issue with their system and that it was not showing up on their end at all, and since they could not see the charges, they would fall off the next day. I was told that information by one of their GMs. Having worked in retail and foodservice in my past, I knew this wasn't the case and waited an additional day to call back. Unfortunately, I had the displeasure of talking with the owner. She was extremely rude and said it's not their issue; it's a bank issue, and she did not have the time and hung up on me. I printed out the statements only wanting to see if there was some way to contact their technical support or whoever handles issues like this to help speed along the process and brought it to the location. I asked to speak to the owner, and she came up, "like yeah, what do you want" mind you, I never met this woman for Adam. She is immediately defensive, and all I am trying to do is show the woman's the paperwork from our bank since it seems like she didn't believe me in the first place. She looked at the paperwork and kept saying, "there is nothing I can do, and I am annoyed that I have told you this and yet you are here" I let her know the the issue was no longer that her store charged me twenty-one times, but also a lack of proper customer service etiquette skills. She then proceeded to throw the paper at me and walked away, and told me to leave. It is disgusting that a business owner would act like this, especially when times are tough for all of us. I wasn't asking her to give me cash as she kept implying or acted; I was simply asking her to help troubleshoot by contacting the technical support folks on her end. She made a lot of assumptions about me, but there is one that is for certain, I will never eat at a Marcos pizza again. read more

We really enjoyed this pizza. The sauce and crust were fresh and tasty. If one thing could be improved it would be the dine-in experience; only two tables tucked in next to the door seemed like an afterthought. The only thing I've had there is the pizza bowl. It's like pizza without the bread. It's very very good and at a great price. One order makes 2-3 meals for me at $7.99. The staff is very friendly also. I got my granddaughter a small cheese pizza and she loved it. I asked her (for this review) why she loved the pizza and she said " BC it's the best pizza ever". My daughter got the bbq wings. She loved them the first time. The next order, the wings were overcooked. I wish people would stop cooking wings until they turn to dust. Lol read more

Absolutely hands down the best pizza I have ever eaten! I am a pizza fanatic and was skeptical when I saw the Marco's commercials stating they have the best pizza. Boy am I glad I tried it! Absolutely delicious and the staff are amazing too! I was having trouble with my app working and not accepting my discount coupon. I called the store and spoke with a manager, Christy. She was very professional and walked me through the process but it still would not work so she completed my order by phone and gave me the discount too! If I ever call in my order theres always a sweet employee ready to take my order and read it back to me, its actually really good, you wouldnt expect pizza this good from a chain place. The sauce is tasty, the crust is never burnt or dries out. I typically only do delivery and they have always been punctual and considerate. I have a gluten intolerance but I really love pizza. So I always have to try GF pizza whenever a new place opens. Not gonna lie- this crust is REALLY GOOD for being GF. Like it doesn't even taste GF. Better than MM on the corner by a long shot. Delivery was quick and the price was fair. I ordered my pizza with Parmesan on the crust and garlic butter sauce on the side, both of which didn't make it onto the pizza. Ordered a half Italian hoagie and small order of chicken bites. Hoagie was good, but the tomatoes were cooked with the sandwich and not added after making them very soggy. The chicken bites were obviously previously frozen as they were not crispy despite requesting them to be well done.
