I've hired Marcum Drywall for popcorn ceiling removal and general drywall repair. Jeff, Chris, and associates were personable and expressed satisfactory customer service. Their square footage popcorn ceiling removal pricing was fair and outbid other local offers. They were transparent that popcorn ceiling removal is a very messy job and it would require me to vacate the premises during their projected work schedule. Some of the drywall repair work required extra labor due to discovery of poor workmanship from previous companies but was priced accordingly. There was also a supplier issue with defective protective materials that caused them to miss deadlines. Despite setbacks, they aimed to complete the project to no additional cost due to supplier issues. There were significant messes left behind but we worked together in the cleanup effort. They made sure to return anything removed during their work back to their original spots after completion. We've also regrettably discovered some floor damages that most likely occurred during popcorn ceiling removal efforts, but apologies were made and the flooring was patched prior to payment. Jeff is amazing! We gutted our mobile home, removing nearly all of the sheet rock. Jeff and his crew installed new sheet rock and textured the walls and ceilings, making the house look brand new on the inside. We are so happy with the results! A roof leak at our rental property had caused water damage to the drywall, and we hired Marcum Drywall to do the necessary repairs. They removed the damaged drywall and found damage to the wood studs underneath. Jeff kept us informed and sent us pictures of what he found. We had him replace the studs and insulation before installing the new drywall, and then he textured and painted the drywall to match the existing texture and paint. The finished job looks great, and our tenants are very happy. We were impressed at how thorough and professional Marcum Drywall was. read more

We had a leak in our powder room, which our home warranty (finally) found a plumber to come fix. After the hole in the wall was dry, we needed the drywall repaired. Unfortunately, home warranty could not find anyone in their "network" but suggested we use Marcum Drywall for the repair! They are fast and efficient! We bought a home in Gold River and one bedroom still had popcorn ceiling. One phone call and they were out to give us an estimate. Two other contractors did not even return our calls. They were able to schedule for the next day. They were right on time the next morning and did a great job. They were very meticulous and we are very happy with the results!! read more

Jeff and Chris provided professonal quality work repairing and retexturing two areas of drywall in a small bedroom, which included painting by their paint subcontractors. While Jeff and Chris were onsite they ensured everything was kept dust free and clean. The doorway and room were covered with plastic and the floor also covered during their repairs, including keeping the ceiling HVAC vents closed. After they completed their portion of the repair work, the work area was left clean, and the vendor workmanship met expectations. Jeff assured that when their painting subcontractors finsished painting, that they would replace all furniture to the orginal position and re-open the HVAC vents. Unfortunately, the painting subcontractors did not replace the furniture back or open ceiling vents, leaving the job incomplete. They stated Jeff would finish the job. Per Jeff's request, I had provided payment iin full to his painting subcontractors, in advance of the completed job. This repair work was very expensive and cost $2500. I contacted Jeff to finish and complete the job, replaceing the furniture to orginal positions and reopening vents. This never happened and he was unresponsive to texts and vm. As I'm a disabled senior and have Lymphedema in one arm from cancer surgery, this was very difficult for me, as I had to physically replace the furniture myself. My son, whose room they repaired, is blind. They disconnected his vision impairment equipment that is part of his PC (Marcum Drywall was specifically told not to disconnect any part of his PC, as a technician was paid to install). Do to my disability I'm unable to climb ladders, so my son had to eist a very hot bedroom until we could contact someone to open the HVAC vents. Because of Marcum Drywall's negligence in job completion, I can't recommend their services. Customer service is essential to any quality professional service business, as well as job completion. As a property managment professional, having worked with many vendors in the SF Bay area, job completion is critical to a successful business reputation, as well as, client satisfaction and essential client/vendor communication. read more

I had a roof leak that damaged my acoustic ceiling. Jeff came and gave me a very reasonable quote. Jeff and Chris then came and removed the acoustic, repaired the damage, and replaced the acoustic with a nice texture to match the walls. I am very happy with the results.
