They have a selection of just about anything except fresh fruit, veggies and frozen items. (at least the last time I was in there, what do they have today? who knows!) Go check it out. They have an awesome selection of Bobs Red Mill items, even gluten-free. I wish the store were more out in the open more, easier parking, but I am so glad we have Reny's in Farmington!

We were standing there smelling the colognes (bottle to the nose) and I decided my to ditch my husband for the clearance racks. Im 30 feet away when one of the employees says, while bagging a customer order "sir, you cant spray the cologne because some customers may have allergies". My husband looks up and says "yep, I understand- I havent sprayed anything" (he works in the medical field) she continues in front of at least 20 people standing in line, and 10 more people at the registers- "if you spray it and someone wants to buy it then they cant return it". He states again "I havent sprayed anything". A few key notes here, he was the ONLY African American in the building, she did not say anything to him until I walked away AND she accused him multiple times when he hadn't sprayed anything at all. We left because he was embarrassed and angry, and called the store and spoke with a manager-who wasnt impressed. No cologne was sprayed, but there arent signs stating that cologne cant be sprayed. She didnt speak the same to the gentleman who was there before us, and I have never been spoken to about spraying or not spraying cologne in that store. I heard her from 30 feet away, and everyone was staring at my husband as if he HAD done something wrong. Hang it up lady.

My bestie had never been to a Marden's before. This location is bigger than other locations that I've been in but I feel what makes it bigger is their furniture section which is HUGE. They also have a pretty big crafting material section too. I did see some brand name shoes in the shoe section. I picked up this super cute black with white striped backpack that I used as my carry on bag for my plane ride back home which after using it I was in more awh with it. Great price too! I saw a bunny in a shopping cart that was friendly & two doggies with their owner....must of been bring your pet to Marden's day?? lol Bathrooms were clean as they have some out front & in the back. I was surprised that they really didn't have a big beauty product section for shampoo's, conditioner's, body wash, etc. I did find a cat treat toy that I had found at a different location when I was home visiting in April that I told my bestie she had to buy for her cats & I got one for my co-worker. My bestie found a pair of VANS that she purchased for a great price & loves. I wasn't super impressed with this location. It also seemed that someone may have been caught stealing because when we were leaving their were undercover security & police causing a commotion. Marden's are ALWAYS WORTH stopping in!!

If you see a deal that you really want....don't hesitate, buy it, because it WILL be gone within a week or so. This location is VERY easy to find. A repurposed Kmart building, I believe... It's right off the highway, in fact you can see it from the off ramp to the right. There is plenty of parking even when it's crowded. I have never been to this location around the holiday, but I have driven by, and it is always packed! This locally owned retail chain, sells overstock, liquidation and salvage items. We have seen things from Amazon as well. It's usually so random, although they have seasonally appropriate items as well. When we have the time and energy, we like going through the clearance aisles...yes, they have clearance aisles in a discount store. The clearance aisles are only organized by the percentage off and so it's chaotic. Bring patience and a sharp eye for deals. We have gotten electronic peripherals and accessories. We also bought some great yard deals. While we didn't buy them, they had Robotic Lawn mowers with batteries for sale. This store is quite large and have things like furniture, appliances....so much stuff. If you are a patient bargain hunter, that doesn't mind being around people, you may like this store. Worth at least one visit.

This location is convenient to pickup beach towels or chairs if you plan to visit Sebago Lake State Park (20 minute drive away on Route 302). This Reny's was a surprisingly large store with two levels and had many products made in Maine. On the first floor, we picked up 2 bags of Fox Family Potato Chips (Salt and Pepper; Wicked Hot BBQ) before leaving the state of Maine. I wish we had purchased 5 more bags as the chips were delicious (potato flavor and not overly seasoned). Service was friendly and the checkout line was relatively short. The prices were comparable to what you might pay at a grocery store like a Hannaford. Overall, I think every visitor should stop by a Reny's at least one time to experience this unique Maine store!

I've always liked it's long shape, it's brightly light atrium area for dining or reading, it's overall cleanliness, and the shops who call it home: specifically Wild Oats (one of favorite eateries in the entire state of Maine), Indrani's (where the intoxicating smell I'm obsessed with originates; it's a really cool shop specializing in globally inspired/sourced/imported home goods, gifts, clothing, jewelry, etc.), and one entrance into Eveningstar Cinema (an intimate, artsy, single screen indie movie theater that is charming and unique and smells of deliriously rich popcorn). I just feel like this spot is a frozen moment in time in the best way possible. Bathrooms available immediately upon entering, and down the flight of the stairs to the cinema.
