One of the things I love about Germany, is the culture of reuse and repair. It really surprised me…read morewhen I moved here that, you could repair most things and, bring them back to life. This is one of those places. Shoes go in here and, come back looking young and refreshed and, ready to take on the world ;-))
They have a repair shop and also a resident shoemaker. They do have a separate store for buying and fitting shoes (well I believe it belongs to the same people) and the repair shop. I have only ever used the repair shop and will check out the retail shop another time.
I have been here a few times and their service is excellent. The prices are a bit high, however, for the quality of work it's worth it. I recently had two pairs of soles repaired and redone and, I think the sole will last longer than the shoe;-))
It's in my neighborhood and I use it often. It's nostalgic for me as, shops like this were common in India, growing up, and being able to do this here is excellent :-))
