rarely make the effort to make reviews... so the fact that I am writing this review should say a lot. My wedding happened about two months ago and thought I can let this situation go... but my blood boils when I think of what this company did at our event.
We hired this company to do bar tending services and bring a margarita machine to our wedding. We had selected them as the vendors for the bar for the reason that they had a good showing at the bridal extravaganza and I was impressed. My now husband didn't doubt my choice, so we made the contract right away. In our contract, we had established that there would be two bartenders and two bars open. The day before the wedding we got a call from one of the "bartenders" that was suppose to service our wedding and asked if it would be okay for her to bring her daughter to the event so she shadow her since she is still learning. We told her it would be fine. In our minds, we thought this would be an additional help to them. Well we find out at the wedding that her daughter was the second bartender. She did not tell us this when she had called. During our cocktail hour, they both did not serve beer at all. They only served spirts. We were upset because this caused a lot of people to be drunk early. There was always a long line at the ONLY bar they opened (remember we were suppose to have two bars open always) and the mom was the one doing majority of the work. When my wedding coordinator decided to ask the daughter if she can open the second bar she told her that she couldn't because she had to stay with her mom. She then asked her what was her age, and the told our wedding coordinator that she was 17. This obviously doesn't sound or sit right to anyone. So for that reason, we only had one bar open the whole night. The daughter and mother duo also started telling guest that we were out of certain beers and other mixers we had throughout the night. This ended up being a lie because we were left with 25 cases of beer. We had purchased 36. We also had a lot of the mixers left that they claimed they were out of. I honestly believe that they were just too lazy to restock them during the night. Which is upsetting because we paid close to 1,300 for their services (you have to provide the alcohol on top of that). The day after the wedding, the margarita man company called me for us to pay the margarita mixers that they used the night before. Because they told our guest we we were out of certain beers and mixers, our guest started ordering more margaritas (which I'm assuming it's easier for the bartenders to serve as well). Me and my husband explained to the worker that called us the situation that had happens and that we were pretty upset about the whole situation. We told them that we would not pay until we spoke to a general manager. We did not get a call right away, so I called a few times and I was never able to get a hold of him. On one of the times I spoke to one of the workers, they told me they had investigated the situation and that the bartenders daughter was licensed to serve and that she wasn't 17, that she was 19. Again, it upset me that the manager didn't talk to us and told the workers to tell me that. The general manger took 3 weeks to call: he called while I was work and was not able to talk to him. I did call back but he did not answer. So I left a message and I never got a call again. Not from the manager nor the company to pay them back for the margarita mixers.
