I went to their local office asked that my car policy be un-bundled from other car owners in the household because the other car owners sold their vehicles. They quoted me a premium for just my car, took my check and didn't bother to communicate with the large insurance company who cancelled me without notifying me directly. I drove by my local Cupp Insurance Agency twice a day who never bothered to contact me or anyone in my household to advise I was cancelled! They even stated their notes in their computer confirmed my request to pay for the premium for only my vehicle. Because they neglected to cancel the sold vehicles policies and didn't un-bundle my car I was cancelled, driving around for a month un-insured and have been turned over to a Collection Agency for not paying a premium on sold vehicles they neglected to cancel. After all they already collected their money they left me to fend for myself with the big insurance company and would not communicate their error was the cause of all this frustration. Way to go! My husband has probably called Atleast 10 to 15 times during "business hours" and yet no one picks up. We leave a voicemail and they get back to us the following day or later. Our vehicle has been at the shop 8 months now due to delay in parts coming from Germany but they have yet to make anything easy. At the beginning when we took it to the shop we were the ones having to call them to get things going and had to act like the mediator between the auto shop and the insurance as if we were working for the insurance. A total headache. We had to call corporate to get a answer from them about what is going on because they told us it'd be done this week. Corporate even tried to reach out and they had no luck so they connected us with a agent out in Cedar Rapids who was so professional and spoke to the shop to get everything done the same day. STAY AWAY FROM THIS AGENT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN AGENT! We have both auto and homeowners insurance through them and that was a big mistake. If you are looking for a agent who communicates in a timely and efficient manner this is definitely not the place. Will definitely be switching insurance companies because of this experience.
