She takes the time to discover what you want to convey in your photos and what message you want to get across. Gone are the stuffy banking suit headshots, Lara has made our headshots personable, authentic, and unique. I have never loved a picture more than the headshot she did for me. She captured our team photos so well, we used one of the shots for a holiday card. I'm naturally inclined to do cards myself and I will never do them again after having Lara shoot and design our cards. The experience was 100% positive, and the results have all my friends wondering when I became so photogenic. At first, I was concerned that the approach to getting results might be a little bossy. That turned out to not be the case. I have not been involved in portrait photos since 4th grade class pictures. It was a horrible experience in 4th grade. Life changing actually, I still have the comb to prove it. I cut school every class picture day afterward. I have refused to allow my picture to be taken in any capacity...until recently. We corresponded over email and her response time is about a day or less. She has about 3 different packages and about 9 locations she likes to shoot at. We chose Kualoa regional park because it had a few different backgrounds (beach, mountains, outriggers, and dock). On the day of the session she met us at the park and we walked to the locations. She was very easy to work with and she was pretty in tune with the needs of our 1 and 2 year olds. When the girls got fussy or didn't feel like cooperating she would shoot couples pictures of us. Her prices are very reasonable and the pictures came out amazing. We will definitely use her services again if we're back on Oahu.

So my wife and I were thinking about newborn photos since all of our family live quite a ways away…read morefrom us, and we wanted something special to share with them, and our first time Grandparents. We were concerned because they are usually very expensive for nothing super special. Then my wife happened upon Chelsea Lietz's Photography. Not only were the prices very reasonable, but her photos were simply gorgeous. We ended up getting the "Belly to Baby" package which was two photography sessions one a short 45 minute Maternity session, and the second a 3 hourish newborn photography session. The maternity session blew our minds away, we were so pleased with how laid back she was, how professional she seemed, and most importantly how organized, and timely she was. She asked us if there was anythign we wanted and we mentioned our tattoos, and she delivered with what is one of my favourite photos of me and my wife. We were super pleased with the maternity session, and everyone in our family and freidns on facebook loved the photos. We thought it couldn't get better than this. WE WERE WRONG!! Chelsea has a plague on the wall of her studio that says "Baby Whisperer" this is not an exagerration. She handled our 1 week old newborn so well that we immediately trusted her with our baby so much that my wife and I both fell asleep due to the comfortable environment, and the absolute trust we had in Chelsea. Then the Photos came.... They were simply stunning! She focused on the baby like she should, but still managed to get a couple of pictures with my wife and I with the baby. They were everything and more that we wanted. For the price that we paid I doubt we could find someone with more bang for the buck. Our maternity pictures were completed offsite as per my request but her work was amazing! I couldn't wait to see what she could do with a studio session. Nancy definitely has an eye for photography and attention to detail. I loved how she really took her time to place every little's finger and every little hair in the perfect place before snapping the shot. And she is so good with babies! I was surprised how she handled my newborn with such care while capturing amazingly gorgeous angles and poses. The proof is in the pictures! She has the cutest array of props and every color for every baby/toddler. Her studio is a spacious, open concept studio with a very nice sitting area for parents fully stocked with comfy sofa, magazines, coffee maker and TV with AppleTV where you can sit back while trying not hover over her working with your babe and relax while she works her magic. Even before I had met my husband, I knew that whenever the time for me to have children came about I would want Nancy, to take my child's pictures. I had seen her work spread about social media from friends to friends of friends. And to say I was envious of them, would be an understatement. When I found out I was pregnant with my first child last year, I had contacted Nancy to do his newborn photos. Of course I couldn't do JUST the newborn photos, but I couldn't wait to see the magic she would capture when my new bundle arrived. Nancy has always been so patient with me, especially since I'm kind of an annoying person (lol) but she always took the time to answer my questions, gave me lots of helpful tips to make sure my son's photos turned out magical and that's exactly what she delivered, magic! So now I sit here impatiently waiting for our next photo session with Nancy. But the one piece of advice I always give new parents is to never regret spending that money on newborn photos, or even the photos during their first year. They're only little for so long but those pictures capture the once tiny baby you had. Nancy has immortalized memories to be shared for a life time and I couldn't thank her enough. I really liked her work and decided to book with her for my sisters nursing graduation photos. They turned out amazing and we received so many compliments on them. So, I decided to book a family session with her because we had yet to do so of our family of four. I was blown away at how patient and awesome Sonja was with our girls, ages 3 and almost 1, which I know is not an easy task. She knew when to take candid pics and was spot on with the posed pics. They, of course, came out great and we really enjoyed the hour she spent with us. Here recently we had family come in from out of state and I really wanted pics of all our babies at a local pumpkin patch. Sonja beyond accommodated us being that it was on a day she normally doesn't shoot, but being her awesome self, she made it work!! My family fell in love with her instantly. And like always, the pictures came out amazing!! Sonja is a great choice in a photographer.
