Absolutely five star performance! Some of the best Mariachi music I've ever heard. I booked Nueva Tradicion to play for my wife's surprise party and our guests were amazed. This has been the BEST mariachi i have heard in decades! Growing up with mariachi music at family parties and ballet folklorico, my expectations were high. This mariachi had me wanting them to stay longer!! SO bummed i didn't! The dynamic among the mariachi members was entertaining, the interactions were hilarious and my whole family were having such a blast. Even the ones who have no idea what they were singing, told my husband and I that they were amazing. The strangers in the park hung out to hear them sing and play. They all had their outfits clean, pressed, and in perfect condition. The men looked highly presentable and the young lady looked impeccable. Along with their heavenly voices they played their instruments effortlessly. I have one upped my brother in having the best mariachi at a family party so far! Que viva Mariachi Nuevo Tradicion! Our daughter surprised us with this amazing mariachi. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they were the "icing on the cake." Our quiet dinner turned into instant singing and dancing with everyone participating with their songs. We've heard other mariachi groups in San Diego but Mariachi Nueva Tradicion has been the best by far. History

Established in 2020.

This is a relatively new business; however, our musicians are experts playing and singing with 10+ years of experience performing for live audiences. Our group director formed this group mid pandemic in August of 2020 with the sole purpose of providing San Diego with next level singing and playing within the mariachi style.

Meet the Business Owner: Victor V.

I have been performing mariachi music since 2006: when I started learning how to play my first instrument, the guitar. I continued my studies in mariachi throughout high school and college. I graduated from SDSU with a bachelors in Music Education with an emphasis on voice (singing) class of 2020. I also hold a Mariachi specialization degree from Southwestern College. This group was founded in order to provide the best live mariachi music available in San Diego. Today I play trumpet, vihuela, guitarron, and guitar and sing professionally all over the country and in Mexico.

I was intrigued by the synopsis because it mentioned taking place on 9/11, but the storyline goes well beyond that fateful day. The Mercy Seat. First, the theater: a small, intimate area with only 3 rows of seats. I've always enjoyed smaller theaters as you get ThisClose to the actors. Next, the play itself - clearly a unique display of two actors taking us on a roller coaster of emotions through their relationship. Having recently come out of a 6-year tie myself, I was able to relate to both characters and became submerged with the plot. At the end of the show, there is a small gathering area where the actors meet and talk with audience members. I shook hands with Aleks and listened intently how he explained to a small group of women how he mentally prepared for the character of Ben - stating several times how he was an a-hole and had to continuously remind himself of that. As I listened to him, I sensed that male-bashing bias that I've come to hear all too often. It's true that the character of Ben had been in a 3-year relationship with this woman while his wife and children are home. But the woman he is having an affair with is just as guilty. She made the conscientious decision to get involved with a married man who has children. She may be coming to the realization that she wants more, but Ben is not at fault for this. So while his mistress (and boss) apparently fulfills certain destinations for Ben within the bedroom, he still loves his kids. I can relate to Ben. Mariachi Nueva Tradicion is one of the best groups I've ever listened in past few years. Mr. Viberos is a professional, high level musician that makes every perfomance worth watching. The price is totally justified by the quality of the performance. Having a musical background, I could tell that every song is well tuned and perfomed as it's supposed to.
