I have been coming to Utopia for many years and I can honestly say that this is by far one of the…read morebest medical and cancer treatment facilities in the country. I'll admit that Dr. Garcia has a very unique approach to working with patients. Those of us who know him can honestly say that he is as subtle as a freight train, but has a heart of gold and genuinely cares about his patients and their families. Dr. Garcia and his team take a holistic approach to treatment. They believe that mental and emotional scaring lead to illness. Many of the people who have written negative reviews get taken aback by the bold statements that Dr. Garcia makes about the causes of their disease. Although abrupt in nature, they are supported by psychological research as well as Dr. Garcia's years of experience working with patients. It is important to know that in many cases Dr. Garcia is the last hope for some people so time is not necessary on his side. He needs to cut through the BS and get straight to the point in order to truely help those that come to him. The facility is warm and inviting and not what you would expect from a typical cancer center. There are no individual treatment rooms as Dr. Garcia encourages his patients to talk with each other, learn from each other, and heal with each other. It is not uncommon to walk into Utopia to hear patients and staff alike joke and laughing with each other. Dr. Garcia takes the time to meet with each patient on a weekly basis (more if necessary) and during his free time you can find him sitting and talking with patients in the main treatment room. It is not uncommon to hear the patients heckling him (in good fun of course) with Doc joking along right back. Many of the patients Dr. Garcia has worked with (here I say worked with not cured because according to Dr. Garcia patients are responsible for curing themselves not him) come back to Utopia to speak to and mentor patients that are experiencing similar struggles as themselves. If you want to avoid the knife and rely on your body's natural ability to heal itself then this is the place for you!

I don't typically write reviews, but when something truly stands out, I believe it's important to…read moreshare awareness where it's due and the Utopia Cancer and Wellness Center deserves recognition. This facility has helped countless individuals and operates with an unwavering commitment to its patients, creating an environment of genuine care and understanding. First off, let me be clear: Utopia isn't about flashy promises or claiming to be miracle workers. Healing isn't easy or instant, and that's something Utopia openly communicates. What they are is a team of knowledgeable and compassionate professionals who shift the focus away from conventional approaches that sometimes feel impersonal, toward holistic health strategies that make a lasting impact. Being successful here or in any health journey means more than just paying thousands of dollars and expecting guaranteed results. Healing is a partnership, and it requires proactive effort, education, and dedication on the part of the patient. Unfortunately, some people expect all the work to be done for them only to leave poor reviews when things don't go the way they envisioned. I think it's important to highlight this because Utopia empowers patients with tools to take control of their health, but success requires commitment.

The doctors, nurses and the staff are unmatched. From Airam at the front desk making sure everything is in order at all times, to Mark, making sure the rest of Utopia Wellness is always running smoothly. What we love most about their approach is they treat the whole person, not just isolated symptoms. They get to the root causes of your health issues and give the appropriate treatments that address the issues naturally.  Unlike other doctors that spend 5-10 minutes with you then you leave with a prescription, Utopia's doctors take as much time as you need to make sure you understand their treatment plan and have answered every question you have. For those seeking a healthcare experience that prioritizes genuine healing and individualized attention, Utopia Wellness is the best choice.

I…read moreunderstand that seeking support in addressing mental health challenges is deeply personal and varies widely from person to person. I also understand that many people don't seek help because of a real or imagined social stigma to doing so. However, I believe it's important for all of us to share reliable resources that may be helpful to others in need of emotional healing or support. I chose the Holistic Mental Health Clinic as a resource for emotional healing, particularly in the area of post-traumatic stress. I was hesitant to make an appointment anywhere, and I am fortunate that I chose this clinic. The clinic provides a professional and safe environment in a medium-sized office building located in St Peterburg, Florida. It is located in a partly-residential area of the city on a main street where parking is not a problem. There is a dedicated parking lot next to the building that offers free parking. My experience at this clinic was rewarding. My counselor, Lynn, was very professional, intelligent, capable, thorough, and caring. I found Lynn to be reliable, dependable, well-grounded, and honest at all times. Lynn added professional guidance and value to my healing process and she taught me coping skills that were proven, balanced and effective. Lynn was never judgmental. She always had my best interests as her primary objective. Lynn never promised unrealistic expectations, and she skillfully facilitated my healing process emotionally, physically, and spiritually by offering insightful and proven strategies that I could adapt to my lifestyle. Although Lynn was an essential part of my healing process for whom I will always be extremely grateful, the professional relationship we had between us was based on self-empowerment and mutual cooperation, not dependence. She presented opportunities for healing and learning, but never encouraged me to do more than I was comfortable doing. She identified challenge areas that I had not seen, and gently but confidently encouraged me to push through areas of discomfort and challenge myself when I felt ready. As far as my expectations as to outcome, Lynn created mutually agreed upon goals for my sessions, clarifying both health-related and cost-related expectations. She never cut my sessions short. All my expectations were either met to my satisfaction or exceeded. My health insurance does not cover counseling, but my overall spiritual, emotional and physical well-being is something that I value and I juggled my budget to afford this investment in myself. I have never regretted that I did so and the results I experienced were both impressive and have been on-going. The clinic was at all times transparent in its billing practices, accepted credit cards as payment, and accommodated my scheduling and budget concerns to the extent it could do so. Like many professional organizations that are entirely service-based for individuals, this clinic similarly charges for "no show" appointments. I never had the impression that fees were more important than my well-being. I recommend this clinic for anyone experiencing a mental health challenge and I encourage you to set up an initial consultation. However, whether it will be a good fit for you -- or right for you at this time in your life -- is something you and someone at the clinic will need to determine (you should ask what the rate for an initial consultation would be in advance ). Best wishes to you, and God bless.

I loved the provider I saw. I did cancel ahead of time my follow up visit with provider since I could see the labs online and I knew the answer was that my labs were normal and there would be no treatment needed. Many months later I woke up with a swollen eye. I called clinic and asked if I could get squeezed in that day. And wonderfully yes and I was happy. I also work in the health field and have patients. I was discussing my patients and lost track pf time. I started heading to this practice. I knew I'd be maybe 20 min late so I called. The lady on the phone was very nice. But said I was too late for the appointment and I understood. I asked the lady on the phone would I be charged for missing an appointment. Her answer was a "no don't worry you will not be charged". She asked if I wanted to get rescheduled. I told her that I didn't know if I could fit it in the next day but said okay good ahead and book it. Even with me expressing that I didn't know I could make it, the lady on the phone never said that if I somehow can't make it that I will be charged. Maybe I am an idiot, but I thought when I asked her if I'd be charged and her answering no, that that meant the place had no fees for missing (some places don't). I couldn't make the rescheduled visit. And yet again I spent a whole day with my patients and was not able to make it. I admit I didn't call them but was very busy and the practice was closed by the time I left work (6:10 pm). I notice a $50 fee today for missing. I called the practice and expressed my confusion with what the lady on the phone said as no you won't be charged for missing statement. I was polite. I asked for manager to reach out to me. Instead of customer service and asking me the patient what all happened and listening, I get a long text of dry black and white: "...Our office has a late cancel/no show policy that was informed to you when you initiated care. Due to the late cancel we waived the first fee and then you proceeded to no show your appt without contacting the office. Unfortunately, we are not able to waive this fee since this is your second no show/late cancel and have been aware of our office policies..." I was disheartened that they didn't even ask me about the situation. No, I was not aware of their policy even though I signed it many months ago. That is why I asked the lady on the phone if I am charged for missing the appointment. I sent a text back trying to explain that and got another dry black and white response back that I signed the documents on the no show/missed in July. I messaged to cancel all my appointments at their clinic. I wanted time to think about if I would want to come back or not. It was simple. No extra words. Was never mad. Frustrated, yes, but never angry. Just said to cancel all my appointments at their clinic. I tried to get back on the patient portal to pay the missed appointment balance and it will not let me on. So I text the number back asking if my portal was closed. I was met with a text that said "Your chart has been closed as you requested as you were not in agreement with our attendance policy. Please establish care with another Provider. Your No show fee has been waived..." I tried messaging back saying I never asked for my chart to be closed and never said I won't be in compliance of a no show fee. I do not mind paying no show fees when I know about it. That I simply was frustrated at their practice for the miscommunication of the lady on the phone saying there was no missed fee and was hit with a fee and appreciated a phone call to express my disappointment in a calm way. No response since. I'm pretty appalled at their customer service skills. It's a pity. I was excited to have this place as my family doctor place. Maybe they were jaded by patients not wanting to pay no show fees that they disregarded me wanting to politely talk about it. It is a shame.
