We had a 1 bedroom unit and it was very clean and spacious with a full kitchen, small patio, and even a washing machine. There are restaurants on site or adjacent so it's easy to get a full-service meal for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There is also a little supermarket right next door. The staff at the front desk is super friendly and very helpful. There are 2 large outdoor pools with totally different vibes. The main one is loud and full of kids with constant kids' activities and it has a pool bar. The other is more remote and quiet with lounge chairs spread out through the grass. They have the craziest towel policy I've ever seen; you have to get towel cards from the front desk and then turn the cards in at the pool to get towels daily. I recommend getting to the main pool a few minutes before it opens because all the chairs will be "taken" within 5 minutes of opening. They also had an indoor pool which we didn't use. There is plenty of stuff to do; mini golf, tennis, and a gym. The gym was being renovated and the temporary gym had no a.c.....kind of a bummer! There is a small beach across the street and a strip of restaurants of many ethnicities within walking distance. Other than those restaurants you need to catch an Uber or taxi if you want to go anywhere else. Fuengirola is about 1.5 miles away and there are many restaurants and shops there in addition to much nicer beaches! If you want to go to Malaga it is about an hour away by train.

He was very pleasant, as well as informative regarding the area and amenities. Definitely a keeper! The room was nice- it was overlooking the pool. It seems that during this stay, there was a large amount of older retirees. The location is nice, about 10-15 minutes from Malaga/beach. Beautiful surroundings, beware of pigs...they're cute until one chases you. They have a restaurant on premises that offers italian/american/indian. I guess the only thing they're missing is mexican food. The food is priced well as well as tasty. They don't do proper English tea though. There is also a little market on the corner- they have pretty much any of the groceries you would want. It's really an all-purpose store, they have clothes, hardware, houseware, ANYware you want...from paint to polish, beer to bedding- you get the point. They have a decent sized refrigerator, wash machine AND a bathtub/jacuzzi on the patio. I'd go back!!

As Kay K pointed out, the beach is right there! It was November and coolish, 60 degrees, so not ideal swim weather. The flavored water in the lobby and hanging art work really make the place look great. We arrived near the evening, with dinner at the hotel included. We went to our room to change clothes and stretch out and found..a bottle of sparkling wine, on ice, with 2 glasses! It was my birthday, and they sent a really nice note to thank us for sharing my birthday with them! I don't know if Gate1 requested this or not, but it was such a nice gesture! We headed to dinner on the first floor (there are actually 2 buildings here, but some renovation was going on) where the breakfast buffet takes place. Dinner was buffet style, with beverage service. There were carving stations, fruit, dessert, so much good food! I never came back for dinner, just for breakfast, which was so expansive and well done. It was nice to sit near a window with a view of the water/pool. The bathroom was fine, a bidet and shower that was not too hard to operate. Again, minimal towels. But also a balcony with chairs and a small table. I did not ask if all rooms have a balcony, but I doubt they all have ocean (?) views. We found the staff approachable and friendly. The bar on the first floor had live nightly entertainment. We missed the first Elvis night, but caught some of the Saturday act. It was ok, just rehashing tunes for the middle age set of tourists, like on a cruise. I took a day off from touring to walk around, shop, and relax on the sundeck in a chair to read with a sangria! It was prob the highlight of my stay. The reason for the 3.5 starts is we saw a dead bug on the stairwell, and a live one in our bathroom! It was probably a waterbug. By the time I ran to grab a shoe, it was gone. To their credit, we called downstairs and a staff member with spray came in. Not sure if they needed to exterminate more, or if this was a fluke. It was our last night anyway. They were good enough to open the buffet breakfast extra early with Continental foods because we had to check out by 6:30am!

The buffet breakfast and dinners were amazing gormet cuisine. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Ironically, the AC was not running during our stay (March 21-24,2024). The review before mine explained why! So we are here during what's considered "winter" here. Well, we ended up opening the balcony sliding door part of the way to get air in the stuffy room. Even during the night, so we could sleep. Still, I'd say this was a very decent hotel stay. We didn't have time to swim, or lounge much. The pool looks fantastic. The beach is across the street.

This might be the nicest hotel/resort I have ever been to in my life...and by nicest I mean…read moreluxurious, comfortable, relaxing, charming, expansive and much much more. Lets start with the wonderfully friendly and efficient staff. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with smiling faces. Everyone seemingly loves there job...I get it as its a wonderful place to be. We had a sea view suite and they added 2 roll away cots in the sitting area for our children. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. We had a great patio where we could sit and have a glass of wine while they slept. My husband played golf 3 of the 4 days and said it was a great course (I believe you have to have a handicap to play, otherwise he would have taken my 8 year old son with him one of the days.) We never left the hotel for a meal as the food is so good. Usually we try to find some authentic local food restaurants, but Finca Cortesin ropes you in so that you don't want to leave. We ate at Don Giovanni 2 nights which we loved. We found the pizzas and pasts to be excellent and a great atmosphere just across the road from the front entrance. We had lunch one day at the beach club which is pricey for children (no kids menu) but enjoyable with a bottle of rose, paella and some great salad options. One night we fed the kids at the more casual bar patio which has bar food and a children's menu (very reasonably priced kids food) and brought them upstairs to bed so we could try the adults only Raw Kabuki restaurant which is very expensive but absolutely delicious--sashimi, fried rice, tempura, carpaccio--small, excellent and not stuffy. Again, the servers made the whole experience terrific. I would be extremely remiss if I didn't mention the breakfast--best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. You are given fresh yogurt, fruit, a fresh bread basket with an excellent assortment of goodies and of course parma ham, manchego cheese etc and then....you can order a la cart in addition. My husband had the eggs benedict every day because it was that good. My daughter said the french toast was the best she has ever had (and I think I make a pretty mean french toast.) And my son loved the pancakes, french toast and eggs benedict...while I was quite happy with the bread basket and the assortment of other goodies. The pools and the beach club were just so picturesque, I could have moved right in...We would go right to the pool after breakfast and wouldn't leave until 6-7pm. It was pure heaven. We did have the opportunity to see the cottages and they were huge. You could easily fit 2 families of 4 in a cottage--they have a gourmet kitchen, 4 bedrooms and its own infinity pool. I wish I was still there!! But I guess if every day were a vacation, vacation wouldn't feel so special...though living at Finca Cortesin sure sounds good as I write this review!!

Great pool area, nice rooms and close to the beach. Recently fully refurbished and generally in a much better shape than you usually see for this type of area. Small points of improvement: Get a menu card over the bar. It's weird to order something, without knowing what you can get and for how much. The breakfast bar was a little boring in the end. Service standards however high.
