And this is one of the only locations that is open for the Rocky Mountain chocolate factory, which I always have to get a caramel apple. There's tons of parking. Walking around to the different shops has a shaded covering. There are bathrooms that are air-conditioned. And maintained. Every single one of these stores is dog friendly. And some of the people in the stores give away dog treats. We will always be back whenever we visit the beach.

The big box center has 3 sit down restaurants-Apple Bee's, Hometown Buffet, Tahoe Joe's, and coming soon is Buffalo Wild Wings. It has a good selection of big box stores-Staples, World Market, and Bed Bath N Beyond. It d be nice if this center had a real department store and not Forever 21. Parking is ample. It has some cool local stores like Breezeway Deli and Little Grape.

I was delighted I found the Madonna Plaza, a mall with a great assortment of mid-level retail with a mix of moderately priced stores and restaurants. Ulta, Chipotle, Buffalo Wild Wings, REI, DSW, Sprouts, Kohl's, See's Candies, Cost Plus World Market and more. I found everything I needed and was on my way in 40 minutes with takeaway Chipotle for my son.

There is a wide variety of both chain and local stores to choose from, such as a department store (Sears), a supermarket, a big-box bookstore (Borders), a local place called the Crushed Grape, Best Buy, and others. Basically, if you live in San Luis Obispo and need something, but prefer to avoid downtown because of the inconvenience of walking from one end to the other, this is the alternative for those who actually use a car in their daily lives and are not ashamed of it.

It seemed like the vendors had autonomy to sell what they wanted. The single employee would call a vendor if there was a question from a prospective customer. Some displays were behind glass, but the majority were open, counting on the carefulness of customers. We stopped by to see if we could pick up a memento from Morro Bay, but no luck. My wife did end up buying a blouse from a brand that she liked, so the trip wasn't a total loss. I did enjoy slowly wandering down the cramped aisles...a lot of hobbyists displaying their passions: a lot of toys, comic books, and hardcover novels.

My kids found plenty of places to shop from MiSou to Little Tokyo, Labubua were available. Plenty of space for walking . Plenty of comfort foods to snack on.
