It was easy to park, as there is a car park behind the hotel, and it was easy to get in and to find a seat. They have a dining area, as well as the bar for bar meals. The decor is alright, nothing fancy, but it is clean and well kept. The staff are lovely, very nice, and chirpy. Will chat away with no problems. The portions of the meals you receive is a fair size, value for money, and are delicious. All the produce is local. I never normally take haggis when i'm out, but boy there haggis was out of this world, with a beautiful whiskey sauce. I loved it. The National Hotel is very popular and has many functions here, from weddings, birthday and engagement parties, to funeral teas. The service is outstanding, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

As a Platinum member, we received complimentary parking and a full breakfast unlike the Courtyards in the US. Everything for a Scottish breakfast was available along with the typical breads, pastries, cereals, etc. porridge was made to order and came with a side of fruit and honey. The gym was compact and a water bottle refill located there. A microwave was located near the front desk if needed. Eventhough it was a drive from downtown Inverness the Courtyard was more convenient for our next day plans of seeing Fort George and Culloden Battlefield.

And the and it wasn't Scenic it was anything special so we stayed in this hotel and we didn't know evidently that it was right beside an airport but we had enough points that we could stay there for free by using our travel points. We took a pass on the breakfast because it didn't look good the place wasn't anywhere Scenic it was you know it was a waste of time. Did like having air conditioning and a sheet which are standard in America hotels but not in Europe for some reason? Anyway I made a stupid mistake and left my SmartWatch in the hotel they found it but didn't call us. So we were 6 hours away when we gave up looking for it and called around and found it at the hotel. Well kudos to them for their honesty of turning the watch in but that's where the Applause stops they were very unhelpful and unwilling to do anything to get it back to us. We offered them $100 to send it to us but they refused to do anything and we had to hire a private company to go there to pick it up and then send it to us. I thought that was very poor customer service. Especially since my husband was supposedly a valued member of their travel Rewards. It just added a lot of hassle and I just thought it was poor customer service. Of course the blame is on me for leaving my watch but I definitely wouldn't go there again or recommend them unless you need to be close to an airport.

Breakfast was good. Our host was friendly and helpful. Our en suite room had a lovely view of the sea, and was comfortable and clean. My only real complaint is with the bed, which was both small and too soft/springy. Either fault could be forgiven on its own, but combined they create a rather claustrophobic sleep environment for a couple. With new beds, this B&B would easily get five stars from me.

It is a short and easy walk that takes you along a stream. It can be a little muddy when wet but overall it is easy and enjoyable. The path is lined with trees which makes it seem magical. There are two waterfalls at the end of the walk which are very pretty. Its a great walk for the family or to take your children on and they will not find it hard going. It is also used by people walking their dogs but it is not a busy walk which is nice. It is a relaxing walk that you can do at your own pace with nobody much around to disturb you. The trickling water makes for a nice background sound.
