Sick of buying over priced furniture at the big box stores ? Go to Marios, we purchased a name brand sofa at a considerable discount over the other stores that charge for the extended warranties, etc. that make the final price much more than the item you purchased. I found a pricing discrepancy with the sofa we purchased and Marios promptly paid us the difference, Try that with Jordans or B&Ps..Delivery was excellent, very courteous. Go to Marios, you wont believe the amount of furniture they have inside, it's not a beautiful showroom that you the customer really are paying the overhead, just quality name brand furniture. Marios has the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have EVER encountered. They are smart and nice and extremely helpful in personalizing service to the customer. I was trying to purchase a recliner for my grandmother in MA but I live several states away. I found a couple of recliners which she would like and called Mario's and Debbie told me that they could get both recliners, the pricing and realistic delivery timelines. Mario's had a lower price than any other store in the area and a much better warrantee (5 years vs 1) than any other store who sold the same chairs. They also we extremely helpful with ordering the chair. Debbie kept me up to date on the status of the chair and she made a special effort to schedule delivery of the chair to my grandmother on a day that was best for her. I imagine that Debbie pulled some strings with the delivery men to make the special day and time work. It was exceptionally nice of her and helpful to my grandmother. The delivery men were prompt, polite and perfect according to my grandmother. When she or any of my relatives in MA or NH need furniture you bet we are going to Mario's. Buyers beware at one time Mario's had great furniture now things are made out of cardboard and OSB (wood chips glued together). In the last year our family bought a few thing against many people telling us to go elsewhere. Expensive recliner chair has already fallen apart then we bought Mattress and box springs - bought a set four months ago not cheap mattress sank in box spring fell apart. We decide to take apart box spring an video everything. We couldn't believe the box spring was made out of cardboard and 1 X 2 strapping a tiny bit of material. They say you get what you pay for we didn't buy cheap product from them. The customer service isn't the greatest once you pay for something there they don't seem to want to help you or answer any questions. read more

In search of a new bed, I ventured to tax-free New Hampshire only to leave disappointed and empty-handed. Driving back through Lowell I remembered that furniture store I pass by all the time and decided to check it out. What a great surprise! In a, shall we say, less than picturesque neighborhood of Lowell is this awesome furniture store with everything you'd need to furnish your entire homestead. I was assisted by two awesome saleswomen who were friendly, helpful, courteous, and seemed genuinely interested in getting me what I wanted for the price I wanted rather than trying to make a big sale. This was a welcome change from Bob's Discount Furniture in Nashua where I was informed the sales people work on commission, apparently leading to a little aggressiveness in their sales tactics. They didn't say whether the Mario's employees work on commission, but if they do, I appreciated the low-pressure environment they had. So getting back to Mario's, I found a bed I really liked that was in my price range. There was a slight snafu in that my parents were actually going to buy me this new bed for my birthday, but Mario's is not open the day they were coming to visit. When I explained this to the saleswomen, they offered to come in just for me on Sunday when they are closed! I ended up purchasing the bed myself and Mama and Papa will cut me a check, but just the offer was way more than I had expected from any store. Way to take care of your customers, Mario's. The store itself is a little disorganized, but that's only because they pack a ridiculous amount of furniture into every square inch of their two story space. There are countless couches, myriad mattresses, dozens of dressers, tons of tables, numerous nightstands, and...more stuff. Sorry, I ran out of alliterations. Seriously, I would venture to guess they have styles to suit all tastes and they are very reasonably priced--along the same lines as Bob's I'd say. And actually, my bed plus Mass tax and delivery and setup fee ($40) still came out cheaper than if I had purchased the similar bed I saw at Bob's in tax-free Nashua. Sweet! Update 5/26/09: Mario's has maintained it's five star rating after delivery of my bed. I was given a delivery time of no earlier than 3:30, which was the earliest I told them I could be home from work. I received a call from the store to verify that I was home and to tell me that the delivery men would be on their way. Two guys showed up a little before 4 and had my bed fully assembled and were on their way at about 4:15. There was some drilling involved and one of the guys asked permission before putting his drill down on one of my tables, a courtesy I can't imagine most people would think to extend. In search of a sofa for not too much money, I checked in here looking to support a local business. I named my budget, and the sales person showed me what my choices were. She was up to speed on everything on the floor, which is impressive since there is a huge selection. I paid $50 for delivery, and the guys who brought me the couch were very nice too, and careful with my doorways. Next time I need something, Mario's will be my first destination. read more

We were in need of a new mattress and had recently moved to Lowell. First thing I did was to check out the reviews on Yelp and Mario's came up like a rock star. Our last mattress was purchased only five years ago at Sears. What a total piece of crap and way over priced. We love our mattress set from Mario's. We got exactly what we were looking for at a great price. Great service, no baloney, wonderful sales people. I would recommend them over any other mattress retailer. This is a hidden gem that needs more exposure. We are buying a new house and in search of new furniture. We searched a ton of stores and even went to Gardner and found nothing. Thinking I would out of Furniture stores someone reminded me about Mario's I gave them a try, and the sales people are so friendly and helpful. They do not stalk you or give you a high pressure pitch. They ask what you are looking for and point you in the right direction. The place is about 4 time bigger then it appears from the outside. Plenty of parking out back. And the best thing are their prices compared to the big box stores. I noticed a lot of furniture that the other stores carried, with the exception of the price being much cheaper that would more then make up for the sales tax. This is a mom and pop store, with honest and friendly sales people, carries the major brands and other nice things you won't find in other stores. I am so glad I stopped in today. I have to put a rating on price, so I picked moderate, but they literately have something for everyone. read more

I can't say enough good things about this furniture store. I purchased two sofas and I am extremely happy with the quality and pricing on these well made sofas. They are both made by Ashley in America and the pricing beat all the big chain stores. The saleswoman was very helpul and knew exactly what we were looking for. My sofas were delivered in nine days after ordering. Any of the big chains probably would have taken four to six weeks with my past experiences. The delivery went smoothly. They had to move them up a flight of stairs and they were very experienced and professional. They knew what they were doing. We could not believe how big the showroom was when we walked in to look around. So much to choose from and plenty of catalogues have more too. Can't believe this gem of a store has been in our home town for so many years and we just found out about it. I'm telling you to forget those big chain stores and check these prices out. I have been looking around for a queen size bed for a decent price. I want to Sears, Jordan's furniture, Bobs, found nothing in my price range. We were getting very annoyed with the long delivery time, pricing and quality from the larger stores (Jordans, Bob's, Bernie and Phils etc) so we decided to support a local family furniture store and give the m a try. We went into Mario's Furniture in Lowell and were pleasantly surprised with the knowledgeable staff, quality of furniture and pricing (you are not just a number or a check) they truly try to get you in the best furniture for your home and spend all the needed time to help you out before you make this purchase. We ended up finding a beautiful (Ashley) reclining sofa and loveseat and it was delivered the same week we purchased it. The delivery guys did a great job and they were very professional and on time. I rarely write reviews, but I rarely get as good an experience as I recently received at Mario's. I used to be a Bob's and Jordan's Furniture shopper. These guys far exceed in pricing as well as service and quality. When we moved into our new house a few years ago, we ordered a bunch of furniture and had a great experience. We were recently in need of a very basic sofa for our downstairs finished basement. We looked around and no one could beat their price for a comfortable and affordable sofa. Delivery arrived on time and they had to try 3 different doors to get the sofa into the space (the door leading to the basement is very small). It turns out the fabric on one of the arms got ripped. My wife, who signed for it did not notice the rip (new baby in the house so she was preoccupied). I spoke with Kevin at Mario's as soon as I got home and he immediately offered a new sofa delivered the next day or a substantial credit off the price I paid. I will use Mario's for all my furniture needs in the future and highly recommend them! read more
