It was a 5 star I had been with since it opening in 1989 to 2024. I would not be here if it was not for PCP. he was and is amazing person. Problem began when Wellmed purchased the practice. It has been a year since Wellmed corporate dropped all it commercial insurance. I just want tell you some of experience since my last visit. 1st I began to request my complete file I had been a patient since 1989/ while the computer record want back to 2005. I submitted the request in June of 2024 for the complete records. ( I mean everything that was produced or recevied from other offices.) At first I was sent 2 months of files from Versima (they manage the record) I was give a run around no file found, donot have excess to those files, etc for months. I had to reach out to Wellmed corp,then optum and the United Healthcare Group ( parent company) it was close to 8 months before I or my new PCP recevied my files. And even some where missing still. When I contract corporate about it i fid not get an answer back at all 2nd the Wellmed office was to be available to use to ask question until January 1 2025. But they shut down the partial portal in September less then a month after the last visit. So we could not ask a question or look at the files or medication etc. 3rd the office and clinical staff was doing there best to help over 10,000 patient (only this location plus everyone from it countless office in Florida) transition to new doctor. It was Wellmed corporate that gave little notice that it was transiting ONLY TO MEDICARE PATIENT. The office manager was just bad! With short tempted and would not or was not able to explain is simple tream what was going on. 4th Wellmed Corp was worse never returned a call or email.

He is insured under my United Oxford's plan but I did not have his actual insurance card on me. I have my insurance card and a print of my son's insurance card on my phone. Despite my offer to request Oxford to email 'Family Medical Clinic' my son's insurance card, the secretary denied to service my son. I asked to speak to a doctor because it was incomprehensible and a medical assistant said a bullshit ' the secretary cannot work without the actual insurance card'. Both minions just stood there shook their heads. It seems that this place is money hungry, run by stubborn and greedy owners.Family Medical Clinic has zero understanding of the medical business and the 'family' in its name is a gimmick. She laughed in my face said she would no longer communicate with me, refill any prescribe, or provide any solution for withdrawing off of 15 years of daily intake of antidepressants. She refused to even give me a suitable antidepressant so I could properly taper down to no longer taking it. Im not able to walk, perform any motor function, my vision is completely gone, my mental state is completely destroyed and now im facing permanent damage and ticks and tremors along with electric shock feelings in my head and body. Not once did she have a single discussion or inquire about any OTC medications or vitamins i consume NOR did she even discuss the potential side effects, potential for allergic reaction, or check the interactions with what else she had prescribed.
