Either way looked fast paced got people in n out so shouldn't be a wait. A bit loud inside with TVs and music playing. The food was pretty good I liked the cooked camarones they had the best and the mescal drink. The churros were nice nothing to crazy on flavor but presentation wise if fun and attention seeking so plus plus if you usually order fajitas and like the eyes on you. The jicama taco is pretty interesting fresh and taste great not a usual thing but good. Our server Gerardo Rodriguez was awesome the whole time he made sure we have everything we need and still check on us the entire visit

Mariscos el…read moreCholo is thankfully one of them and they're a food stall specializing in fresh, raw seafood. I had the opportunity to visit Tijuana for the first time five years ago with friends and this was one of the pitstops we made during our food tour, so naturally we wanted to visit again. The difference from then to now is that the prices have increased which is not at all surprising. Our friends' go-to are usually the pata de mulas aka blood clams, but this time we also tried the oysters. Yes, the name and appearance may be unappealing, but if you can get past it, you will find that it is briny and sweet. The red color is due to the high level of hemoglobins within the clam. Mollusks are shucked upon order which is pretty fun to watch. Fresh, juicy limes are provided as well. We had to save space in our stomach for other foods, but I wanted to note that the locals order the tostadas de ceviche or the shrimp/fish ceviche, which looks to be refreshing and quite a generous portion. I'll have to get a ceviche next time I come back. There is a small table with a handful of chairs right by the food stall, but if we can stand eating tacos on the sidewalk, why not shellfish like clams and oysters? I would definitely recommend Mariscos el Cholo to those visiting TJ, especially for seafood lovers and adventurous eaters.

It is very fresh shrimp and fish either served in cocktail or tostadas de ceviche. They also have great oysters and other seafood, but nothing grilled. The staff is super nice, and the best thing is that the portions are so HUGE and the price is SMALL, so make sure you tip them well. Also, best for hangovers! I LOVE IT!

My favorites were the Camaron Caramelo, Tio Sam Tostada and the Ceviche Todos Santos. We ordered the Tacos California and I would not get those again, they weren't that great. For drinks I had the El Mexicano and thought it was pretty and strong and my friend had the Chaiser Chamocehla which looked like Michelada but wasn't and said it was good. We also ordered a sprite and a beer and all of this came out to $51 U.S. dollars. If you're at the Otay Town Center and are looking for mariscos, I would highly recommend Todos Santos. Also the vibe was really chill and even though they had multiple t.v.'s playing sports, it didn't feel like a sports bar.

Location is good, atmosphere was good, valet parking is good since there isn't much parking around the area. This last time I went service was good as always, food always great & tasty, but our drinks weren't that good. I'm not sure if there was a new bartender or what was the deal with our drinks. I had to send my drinks back every time 4 times to be exact. I actually went up to the bartender to ask if I can just make my own drink. Lol, my waiter noticed and took over. He made my martini in front of me, and to be honest it was the best all night. Other than that everything else was great!

When I first tried an aguachiles dish (by Rick Bayless, go figure), it consisted of raw yellowtail submerged in an acidic lemon juice and seasoned lightly with salt. NO chili pepper in the juice! A far cry from traditional! The aguachiles here is as traditional as they come. I selected a mild (1 chili pepper) and the TJ Queen of Seafood (apparently) went to work, crushing a chili pepper with a pestle into my giant mortar bowl. She then squeezed in a bunch of limes, cut in some cucumbers and onions, and seasoned lightly before adding the raw shrimp. WOW! My aguachiles was served straight up in mortar! Shrimp was clean, there was a nice touch of heat, and the liquid was pleasantly acidic. If you want more heat, they even have a multitude of bottles (over 10) with different sauces lined up for you to choose from. I am quite ashamed to admit that I have not had enough traditional Mexican food even though I grew up in Chula Vista surrounded by a ton of them. I believe Aquachiles may have become a new favorite. Hopefully my next dish will be as good as the one I had here!

The magnet to…read moreget here, was that I recently discovered they were the only restaurant that was advertising Puerto Nuevo lobster. So I got there on my first evening, and that's what I ordered. It took about 40 minutes to get to the table, but once it arrived, it was beautifully presented cooked optimally. The portion seemed a little smaller than I expected (came in only one 600 gm size). The lobster that was split in half sat on a moist bed of Spanish rice, came with refried beans and freshly grilled vegetables. See my pictures. The freshly made thin tortillas were superb, but one had to be careful or they would dry soon. After you finish, they give you an apperetiv, in a small cylindrical crystal glass. Basically, think of it like Kahlúa with milk, vanilla and ice. It was fantastic. The chips and salsas that preluded the main order were also superb. It is rarely and not always, that I go back to the same restaurant when I'm on a short trip. On top of that the next day? Yes, here it had to be the exception. So this second time, I was here to try the fish soup (exceptional) and the grilled loin of red snapper. I've heard of a pork loin, a beef loin, but this was a first. The entree is a large portion. A thick, succulent, colorful, well charred and grilled portion of seafood, with firm texture and spicy taste. Service here was high class, on both occasions. Two exceptional and hard to forget dining visits, in Tijuana. Wow.
