I don't have enough adjectives to say how great she was or how highly we recommend her. From our first contact, she was the perfect balance of friendly and professional. She was easy-going with our many questions, and walked us through what the process of working together would be like. She set up a few Zoom meetings to meet us, get a feel for who we are, and to understand what we were hoping for. Many of her questions helped us fine-tune both general goals (e.g. we wanted a lot of candid shots from the reception), and specific shots like what family member group shots we wanted, what wedding/reception objects we wanted photographed, etc. She did a great job of setting expectations and explaining how things would go at the wedding, which put us at ease and let us focus on enjoying our day knowing she had all things photography accounted for. At the wedding, she was kind, generous with photo requests, and somehow both omnipresent and invisible. The times we worked alone with her - "first look" and "golden hour" photos - it felt more like hanging with an old friend than someone we were seeing in person for the 1st time...which kept us relaxed and "ourselves" which came through in the photos. And her photos are brilliant!! She captures soo much emotion in her shots, you feel like you are back in the moment, or that the photo is telling a story. I feel her use of depth-of-field - to draw you into the subject while still having a meaningful background - was better than any of the other photographers we looked at. We asked for a large number of photos and she delivered! "Typical" wedding shots, candid shots of our wedding party, reception pictures of people we don't see often, the ceremony, the speeches, etc...she got it all!! I'll admit to a bit of initial "sticker shock" at the cost of wedding photographers. While we chose Snap Avenue mainly because Krista's sample photos impressed us the most and because she seemed the best fit personality-wise, we found her pricing very fair and perhaps a bit less expensive than others for the same level of services. For those who might be tempted to just collect friends iPhone photos, I will say that the decision to hire Snap Avenue was one of the best we made, and was worth every cent: Krista is professional and an awesome person whose photos captured memories we will cherish always.

Second session was fine, but took her months to get anything to us. She asked if she could get us these after two weeks because she was leaving town the next day. This turned into several months of waiting, lots of excuses or just not responding to emails. If you are expecting to use the photos for anything other than personal enjoyment, consider another photographer. When we finally got the photos, they were much less nice than her maternity session with us. Her contract stated that she would provide a few prints for late delivery. When we asked for those, she stopped responding to emails entirely and we gave up after a few months, just not worth the trouble.
