I talked to a polite professional lady over the phone and during the call she listened to my problem and made me feel like she was concerned and wanted to help me. We ended the call with her telling me id be hearing from them in a day or two. The next morning I was contacted by a nice gentleman that listened to my problem and offered suggestions. Extremely Disappointed With This Representation…read more I paid this law firm $5,000 for representation, and I honestly feel like I received little to no value for that money. Throughout my case, there was so much miscommunication that I was left without a clear understanding of what my sentence would actually involve and what would be expected of me. I repeatedly felt that my concerns were not taken seriously, my questions were not properly answered, and important details about my plea, probation, and license were not clearly explained to me. I often had to chase down answers myself and do my own research just to understand what was happening with my own case. When I did speak with my attorney, I often felt talked down to and treated as though my questions were a burden. I expected professional communication and patience, especially considering the amount of money I paid for representation. For $5,000, I expected someone who would communicate with me, prepare me, explain my options, listen to my concerns, and actually advocate for me. Instead, I felt like my case was treated as though it wasn't important. Quite honestly, I feel I would have received the same level of attention from a free public defender--and at least then I wouldn't have paid $5,000 expecting personalized legal representation. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. I would not recommend this firm to anyone who expects their attorney to communicate with them, treat them with respect, answer their questions, and genuinely advocate for their interests. $5,000 is a significant amount of money. He knew I would be leaving by by before closing on 9/22 and I gave him forwarding address. He finally mailed my check 3 days after closing via $8.40 priority mail. I received check on Saturday 9/27 after banks had closed. It appear any client who responds with a negative review has inaccurate statements. I did email on 9/23 at 12:34 asking him why I hadn't received my check . Before you hire this lawyer make sure you read the highlighted paragraph of engagement agreement.
