However, in short, I can tell you that I was sexually assaulted by a supervisor in a way that did not leave any real physical evidence. For the most part, it was my word against theirs. I managed to rally a few coworkers that left for other reasons, but each had at least some dealings with the man who did this to me and each had something to say about similar incidents. Mr. Kurz listened to me an answered all of my questions. Though I will admit I did not understand each aspect of it, he certainly kept me well informed. Of course, my former employer denied everything. Mr. Kurz was able to settle my claim through the EEOC without ever even filing suit in Federal Court, which was my ultimate hope. I did not want to recount difficult and embarrassing details on the stand or during a deposition. I had to disclose some at a mediation, but did not have to move past that point. Mr. Kurz was able to resolve my case in the early stages, and from what I saw, he really fought for me around every turn. I'm not a "professional suer," but I have sued people before. I had some issues in Canton, Ga. Police have a very tough job and make mistakes and thus, found myself in the back of a police car on the way to jail. Everything I spent a lifetime working for was in jeopardy. Initially, I hired an attorney for 5K with good reviews and misleading online image. However, I felt my attorney was more interested in a Plea Bargain than clearing my good name. Mr. Poole took the prosecution's case apart step by step. Mr. Grisham and Mr. Poole have different styles but they have incredible synergy! The jury came back, Victory! Unanimous Not Guilty on all counts. All said and done, an outstanding job and whatever I paid them just wasn't enough. I left the office a huge tip with no regrets! We made the decision to supress evidence in the case and Mr. Poole won the argurement and evidence against me was dismissed.
