Stopped in to have a watch battery replaced. No quote given, I was asked if I was "in the system." After, I'm told it's $25. I said I've never paid for watch batteries here. I know I've been in multiple times before for this. The woman at the counter, Janice Kemp stared at me for a full minute. I felt very uncomfortable. Finally I said, "You're staring at me." She said Yes and went on to tell me their policy is to replace one battery one time for new customers. I'd purchased the watch for $35 at the Fossil outlet and wouldn't have spent $25 on a battery. Took a ring in to have stone replaced and ring came back altered I brought to their attention they admitted nothing I didn't care as it wouldn't fit the my middle finger as I wore in on day of repair , only pinky finger it would fit , they said they would repair, realized 7 days after they had it I didn't receive a completion date or a receipt called they said 7th of the next month a hour later a rude person informed me if I wanted ring restored I would have to pay extra 300 bucks , I went got the ring , another jeweler repair for much less and in 1 day instead of the month I was quoted here read more

Wow.. a very pleasant young man named Cameron just made my day. My watch has gotten scratched up and it looks terrible. Replacing the crystal is not cheap.. on top of that, the spring bar is loose.. Another jewelry store that will remain nameless (initials are DD) had quoted me $100 to polish and replace the spring bar. I left it with them on the promise that they would be done in 1 week. Well... much to my disappointment one week later my watch was not ready. They said it would take at least another week and a half. Needless to say I told them to forget it and I went and picked up my watch. I happen to be driving across the Cape Coral bridge and I saw this shop. I stopped and asked if they could replace the spring bar and polish the crystal.. Cameron went to the jeweler and 10 minutes later it looks amazing. Zero Stars. Couldn't be more disappointed. I met with Mark at the beginning of November for a ring to be custom designed. I shared what I had in mind, even brought in a picture as an example and he committed to emailing me some initial designs by December 2nd. Here it is January 1st and I have received nothing. AND, despite leaving numerous phone messages, sending emails and even contacting him through Facebook messaging I haven't heard back from him. In fact, the last time I called, i was placed on hold and then I was told that he was outside watering plants and that he said would call me back in 10 minutes. That was about 11 days ago-those must be pretty thirsty plants. If he didn't want to work on my ring, he could've had the professional courtesy to let me know that, instead of letting me wait all this time for nothing . read more

Beware the watch repair ! I took a watch in and asked for a new battery. I was informed that the watch needed to go to their watch repair guy. I paid about $63 for shipping to do that. I got back an "estimate" effectively gutting the watch and wanting me to pay almost $900 for that repair. I asked for that watch back. I sent it to a trusted jeweler and the watch battery was replaced for $15 and it works just wonderfully. So, bottom line is that watch battery almost cost me $900 I mentioned this to the M. Loren people and they blew me off so badly and implied all sorts of things. FYI read more

I am not one to normally write reviews, but my experience was over and beyond what was expected. My husband purchased a custom made engagement ring from Mark Lauren seven years ago. After getting married I had my rings soldered together. Years later the rings separated and the diamond channel chipped. I brought the rings back to Mark Lauren who re-soldered them, fixed the channel, polished the rings and diamonds to look brand new in less than one hour. I fully intended on paying for my rings to be fixed and made to look brand new again, but Mark said they stand by their work and it was free of charge. Previous to this experience I had had nothing but good experiences and a good relationship with Mark Loren. I was in BNI (a business networking group) with an employee there that I loved and respected and I did business there myself, along with referring my own family for jewelry. This past year I decided to start a custom ring project which I know is Mark's specialty. After going back-and-forth for months he sent me only one drawing and since that point he would not get back to me in a timely manner or at all from that point forward. After at least three times of reaching out (the last time I texted him he didn't know who I was so he clearly didn't even save my contact info) and getting nothing back I finally crafted a polite email explaining how I felt: that for whatever reason it seemed like I was not a priority and that I would love to know if there is a different and better way to go about this design project. I asked him to let me know if he was too busy because I would rather not waste any more time. I told him that I understand being busy at work, since I have my own business as well and I know things can get crazy sometimes. He did not respond at all to my email and once I texted him to let him know about my email his only response was "I'll call you tomorrow". He never called. He never texted. He never emailed. At this point I felt so disrespected and irrelevant, so I called the shop and asked if I could have my deposit back if he didn't want to fix the situation . (There is a fee for starting the design project, which i put down about a year ago). The employee, who was very nice and professional, relayed the message to Mark and the voicemail I received back simply stated that he would be happy to get my deposit back. Absolutely no explanation was given , no apology was offered and no acknowledgment was had on his part whatsoever! I am honestly shocked and beyond disappointed..especially since I planned on spending quite a bit for a completely custom ring! I still have yet to get any kind of correspondence from Mark, which I find very disrespectful and rude. It's a shame this happened because his employees are all wonderful! read more
