My elderly aunt passed away and I was named trustee of the estate. It was a complex trust with 24 beneficiaries. Mr. Sherman met with me for 45 minutes or so and explained what needed to be accomplished and the best way to do it. The price he quoted me was 1/3rd of the amount quoted by a recognized accounting firm. Mr. Sherman's office completed my aunt's final tax return, calculated and mailed out all 24 1099 forms for the beneficiaries and provided copies of everything to me. He provided an audit representation guarantee that I did not need - but was good to have as an assurance. Staff responsive, Tiffany, Beth, Stepanie all wonderful - Mark puts up animatronics for Halloween. He goes out of his way to make the accountanting "experience more fun" for years we have nothing but good thoughts of his practice and it's straight forward no bs style. Mark Sherman has been my CPA for several years now and i do enjoy him as my accountant. He is such a sweet man! He is friendly and i enjoy having conversations with him as well. He is very helpful and patient when doing my taxes. We always end up having to make a few phone calls to get all the information i need which is a bit frustrating but he guides me thru it all. The ladies who work the front are nice and courteous as well. Its nice to have a few chats with them when I'm at the office. Whenever I call the office the ladies are helpful over the phone as well. Their location is central to vegas and the office looks very quaint as well. I would recommend for anyone to come here to get their taxes done. We worked with this office back in February when we first got all our taxes together. We only did a tax preparation over the phone. It felt rushed and I almost felt like when we asked questions it was an inconvenience. It's now July and we still have not received our tax return. We know this is not their fault, however they were so unhelpful with getting answers on why this was. I have done what most have done and gone to the IRS.gov site and looked into it myself and tried calling the IRS line (only speaking to an IVR system) and have received no information except that its still processing.. The only help they gave us was saying they would call for us, but we needed to sign a Power of Attorney in order for them to call for us. I asked if they could just call with us and help walk us through taking to someone and they wouldn't help us. Why would I sign a power of attorney to have you call for me when I asked if we can just call together and I can be apart of the process??? Anyways, they did their job of preparing and sending our taxes, but it ends there. Guess we're still on the hunt for a new tax consultant. read more
