First of all the receptionist was unable to answer any question I had, and I had to ask her if she wanted a copy of my insurance card and ID. Then when I went to check out and leave she basically pushed me out of the door (making me not realize she still had my Drivers license and my insurance card!) which then took me about 3 months to schedule a time to pick it up because they aren't in the office much and for some reason didn't just mail it to me? Nor did they call to tell me they had it, I was literally searching everywhere for it until I decided to call and ask them and ta da there it is. Anyways back to the actual dr. I just really wanted to renew my birth control pills. The dr literally made me listen to his whole speal about how I should get an IUD instead. Which I informed him I had ZERO interest in which he proceeded to tell me I don't know what I'm talking about and to just listen to his information. So fine I did and guess what. Still have 0 interest so he tells me the bc pills I'm on have been discontinued so he will call me in a similar brand. Ok cool. I had surgery scheduled so I just wanted to get it all situated so a month after surgery I could start them again. There is a bit of an adjustment period whenever I start a new bc pill especially since I have pcos so I already have a hormonal imbalance. So he calls in 3 months at a time so about a month before I needed more I picked up my next 3 months and didn't open them until I needed them. I must say, I was happy I was almost fully adjusted to these new pills and I was starting to go back to normal. Well I opened the new set of BC pills.. and he started me on ANOTHER new one which is not the same at all. I also had no choice at that point but to take them because I already had these for a month and didn't think to check them. So now my hormones are literally all over the place. My weight keeps going up and down, and I can not stress enough THIS GUY IS THE WORST. He should NOT be a gynecologist, nor should he ever tell a woman what's "right" for her body upon a first time visit. Plus he also runs a weight loss practice as well as gynecology? It all seemed very predatory to me and made me very uncomfortable. Also I had informed him I had just had breast implants a few months before and he awkwardly squeezed my boob and said "it's hard to really tell with implants if anything is wrong." .. lol ok why did you even attempt to examine them then? All in all I will NOT be going back but wish he would at-least get my bc pills correct until my 1 yr is up in my insurance and I can go to someone else.

She never referred me for a mammogram, even after saying I have much Cancer history in my chart. Decades of experience but I didn't feel that way when I left. So I will probably find a new OB GYN. Between December 13th and 20th I called MIC four times, leaving messages that I needed refills on a prescription. The first time I called, on Friday, December 13, I was told there was nothing that could be done until Dr. Weinstock was back in the office the following Tuesday (she's only in on Tuesdays). I called back and left two messages that Tuesday, and another one three days later, on Friday the 20th. None of those messages were given to her. I know because I finally texted her the next week, and she told me she never received any of them. She then called the 'script into my pharmacy on her day off. I should not have had to resort to texting, which is intrusive and normally done only in an emergency. Is this the proper way to run a health practice? No, it is not. I've trusted Judith Weinstock like I would a family member. She saw me through a surgical biopsy for breast cancer. She is a caring human being and a wonderful doctor. But after twenty-nine years, I will be switching providers because I can't trust the staff at MIC to act in a professional capacity. What if the issue had been an emergency? They are doing a great disservice to a very fine doctor. If there was a reason my messages could not be passed on to her, someone should have contacted me. Some training is definitely in order.

I remember once coming in to see Dr. Hentek with a chest and sinus infection. She saw me, gave me a perscription and left the office. When she came back in the exam room, she noticed I was in pain and couldn't stand. She asked me about it and wrote me a perscription for that as well. . Dr. Hentek saw that I was in pain and treated me for that distress. I'm thankful for her genuine concern. I realized that it didn't occur to me to ask her about anything for my back because I'd been told that the pain would pass by another physician and that I should just take Alieve. I'm a person of color and as such, I've experienced doctors who are hesitant to perscribe pain medication so I subconsiously didn't ask even though I was in the doctor's office. I have changed general physicians though. I had a visit with Dr. Hentek after I'd lost a significant amount of weight 30+ lbs. Dr. Hentek made a comment to me about making an effort to loose more. I shared my regiment and told her about the results I'd had in the previous months and instead of suggesting alternate options she just told me about the negative effects of excess weight and told me to loose more. Of course I have some idea of the negative effects of excess weight otherwise I wouldn't have embarked on the effort I did to loose the weight I had. Physically the doctor is larger than I am so I felt she should be a little more sensitive and construct in offering feedback on weightloss. I was pretty insulted so I'm no longer seeing Dr. Hentek. Women if you're a size 14 or above; you might want to see another doctor.
