I had an appt with another local orthodontist and i was told I had to have regular braces with brackets and wires and the cost was a few thousand more that what I was expecting. I was not too keen on the idea of brackets OR the price but I thought, it is what it is... A week later at my hygiene appt my hygienist asked if I had gotten a second opinion and I told her no I hadn't. She suggested I go see Dr Pepper and at least see what she had to say. I AM SO HAPPY I DID!! Dr. Christina and her staff are ALWAYS kind, courteous and happy! Dr. Christina told me I was absolutely a candidate for Invisalign and after her exam I was pleasantly surprised with my treatment plan as well as the price! I started my treatment Nov of 2019 and due to Covid it lasted a little longer than expected. I just got my Invisalign off and I am EXTATIC with my results! He loves the waiting room toys(wishes we could sit there longer!), the fun raffles, and tshirt they gave him. I am grateful for the fact that they are so knowledgeable and take the time to explain everything to both of us, answering any and all questions and making sure even an 8 year old understands his treatment plan and what he needs to do. If my daughter ends up needing braces, I won't even look anywhere else. Seriously, I couldn't ask for more from this office. Went in for a braces consultation and when I called to ask if I could stretch my pmts out by…read more6months, (mind you I was going to put down twice the down pmt requested and planned to pay way before the time due) just wanted a smaller monthly pmt in the event of any unexpected monthly expenses I might run into before paying in full early as planned. I was told that the dentist said, "sure, he'd allow that; He would just leave your braces on another six months" I was floored! I sarcastically asked if I paid early, would he take them off earlier? The office rep then went on to say how people don't pay after their braces are off, etc. . I mentioned the doubled up front down pmt. I was going to give and my reason for the ask...and I also expressed my feeling apprehensive to getting into a 15mo commitment with someone who clearly doesn't trust me to the point of either, a) slowing down HIS recommended treatment plan to meet my payment contract length or, b) just keeping my braces on after they are no longer needed like a boot on my tire until my parking tickets are paid! Thanks, but no thanks! I wanted my teeth/health to be my Drs number one priority. I Went with Dr Pepper, who was more expensive and further away in port charlotte (I live in punta gorda) but was so much more accommodating, communicative, went in to further depth of my treatment, seemed to really listen and care about my teeth and health concerns, and both she and her staff were so kind in general as well as seemed to have more modern techniques and equipment then whiteside; Oh, and is stretching my pmt out no problem at all, which I'm sure will be paid way before my braces are off, but so nice to know they aren't afraid of me being a deadbeat patient. The one star is for the office staff who seemed very nice.

The doctor told me I had no plaque. It looked like I whiten my teeth. They are in good shape no cavities, but insisted I get $1556 cleaning that my insurance will not cover. It took me everything to keep my mouth shut and a fake smile on my face to walk out pay the $86 for their panoramic x-ray that they insisted on and got the hell out of there quite the scam. They have going over there.
