This place is just as effective as the transit system with dentists and hygienists shuffling back and forth between operatories. Dr. Khanna is wonderfully competent, friendly and talkative. Her first name is Mita and she told me how she was raised in Burlington and completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at McMaster and we cross-referenced people we know until we hit on some mutual acquaintances - small world. There was some dental work that happened too, but it's not a big part of my memory and so overall the whole affair was a good experience.

My appointment was 3pm but I had to wait until 430pm before I was seen. Staff were nice and phony but having no respect for time is unprofessional. The reason is that it's new - not my problem if the clinic was not ready to operate. Blinds in the dental room where I sat was filthy dusty disgusting. Visor for the eyes that I was asked to wear during the dental exam was sticky and cheap - crafty clinic I suppose. I had come for a specific treatment, paid 300 for a mediocre dental exam and xray as the equipments were not even state of the art. Computer monitor was blinking. Did not discuss nor show the xray after. Did not discuss nor show what needs to be done after. They just gave me the treatment plan on a paper after. How would I know if there was really cavity ? Anyway, I called after a few days to speak with someone responsible, the manager at the main branch was apologetic but the manager at Scarborough was uncouthly. Arrogant lady, considering I am a cash paying patient without health insurance. During my visit, I was baffled when the manager Gin introduced the dentist Lila by her first name. I checked their website for the doctors but only Dr Arlene was identified. They later confirmed that Lila is general dentist. It was strange that the manager calls the doctor by first name, too casual, got me confused and lack of trust. I bet she would not call Dr Arlene, just Arlene. The manager Gin or however it is spelled, invalidated my concerns but pointing out that I was happy when I left and my call took her by surprise, told her I was being polite and I needed time to think. She bragged that my bill was supposed to be 313 but she gave me a 13 dollar discount so I asked her to email the bill with items but the discount was not even there, which means pricing was not legit. You should price your services accordingly. I asked Gin for my xray copies but she only intended to email it, Miss, I would not pay 150 for xray that you can't even print. I regret listening to my sister and visiting this Filipino clinic. My sister had gone for the first time and got way more with her 300 but I got less because they knew I'm paying and as when I talked about my sister's file, Gin shut me off that my sister's file was confidential as we are both consenting adults. I agree with this, is this why you never confirmed my appointment to my phone and would always try to reach my sister like I was a minor? And when I couldn't answer your call today as I was on the phone with Tam, you called my sister again like it was her business. Gin was sarcastic and mocked me when I said that it was not state of the art, but this is a fact and I am not ashamed of it as I have been to way better clinics, and considering your price point - it's a shame. I grew up visiting a dentist and never afraid or conscious about sitting on that chair. I hope this reaches Dr Arlene. No one should ever have to go through this.

Or was it because you get caught for trying to make money off of your client and you just lied and try to gaslight? They were 30 minutes late for my appointment and when I confront her and Houra Saadat had the audacity to say that they apologized? Yes you did but I have the right to decide whether I accept your apology or not, okay? My combo of X-ray and cleaning without insurance is $250. And she told me if I have insurance it would be $450? I knew she try to manipulate me into thinking that she made it cheap for me, but honestly wouldn't that mean that they are charging almost double for the client with insurance? Asked me why I came to asked for my money back after a bad review for her clinic? That's because you did a bad job and basically steal from me when the procedure took 1 hour and your staff did it in 20 minutes.

When I called initially to inquire about registering as a new patient, Chau was very nice and understanding on the phone, answering any questions I may have, and following up with me to ensure that all my insurance documents and forms will be set before my appointment. There is a New Patient Form on their website that you just have to complete before the appointment to save time. When I arrived at their office for my appointment, I immediately noticed the cleanliness and neatness of the place. There's Nintendo Wii and Xbox stations for kids, large TV, lots of seating at the waiting room, good lighting, really great set-up over-all, a very welcoming atmosphere. Just about 3 minutes after I arrive for my 10AM appointment, I was then greeted by Daisy, a dental hygienist. She asked me first of all if I have any immediate concerns with my dental health, and the main reason for my visit. I told her I do want to register, and that I have not gone to the dentist in at least 8 years.. yikes! During the comprehensive exam, before Daisy proceeded with each test, she would explain to me the process first, and what needs to be done. After showing me the results of my photos and x-rays, she gave me advice on how to maintain good dental health, and also what procedures I had to go through to fix some very few issues with my teeth. Oh, and here's the best part. There are 2 TVs in the room! One on the wall for when you're sitting up, and one on the ceiling right in front of you for when you're laying down, so you can watch TV and distract yourself during cleaning or any procedure they are doing. The whole time I was holding the remote control... nice.. well, in my opinion that distracted me and made me feel a little less crazy and distracted from all the drilling I can hear. Dr. Daniel dropped by for a few minutes, introduced himself, again made me feel comfortable and ran some quick checks as well. He has a very soothing voice and a very friendly smile, again making me feel calm. After the appointment, I was given a bag of goodies.. YAY! Besides being young and energetic, Dr. Priya seem to be one of those dentists that truly does respect and care about her patients.
