Stopped by Markland Mall recently and overall it's a decent spot for casual shopping in Kokomo. The parking lot is big and easy to navigate, with clean and accessible bathrooms close to the main entrances. It's fairly clean and has a good mix of newer stores and a few kiosks down the middle. That said, there aren't many food choices if you plan to stay long, and there are a few empty storefronts that make it feel a bit quiet. I also didn't see any visible mall security, which stood out. The place right outside of Target where people go to get their lashes done and facials, used to be a nice place to go to relax and get something done to make you feel good! This guy that is working in there is rude and pushy, my daughter got her lashes touched up and that costs 5 he charged her 29! Then her friends got theirs done and he was rude shanking his head, asking if they were going to be able to handle it because he didn't have time at 730 when the mall closes at 8! Completely unprofessional! Maybe I'm bias but I think women should do it, they are so much softer and kind. I even told him he wasn't making this a very enjoyable experience. The last girl was sighing around in the chair like he was hurting her! We have been coming here for a few years and never had a bad time! Unreal how unprofessional he was! Then gets up in my face yelling about the lash touch up being 8 dollars and 21 for lashes replaced!? Wth??!!! Markland Mall - Serenity Spa and Boutique - Shopping Centers Near Me - Kokomo, Indiana

It may be a small mall, but it's owned by Simon so it should always be well-maintained. It had Carson's at one end and Target at the other. That's not really an odd mix. Despite Target's lower prices, I'm not sure it has the more cheaply-made merchandise. There were some typical teen stores and others that you would expect in most malls in Indiana. The location is good, but I can imagine that the traffic is bad about Christmas time. read more

We were excited to stop here on our first visit to Kokomo then very sadden by the demise that had become of it. A lot of stores out of business and the only anchor store that remained open was target. They do have several trendy popular stores open still but many have closed that are for the older people that want to shop. There isn't a good court but there is a pretzel shop, a coffee shop and a Mexican place. There is also a trampoline park which looked ginormous inside The mall was kept up clean and there were not a lot of people just milking around. They were actually shopping which is great to see. Plenty of spots to sit along the small mall corridors there are even a few of the massage chairs that you can put $1 in and get 2' of massage out of. Which of course we did and it felt wonderful. Just what we need to refresh our bodies and keep going. We'd come back if we needed something specific but it's not something I'd go to very often. read more

Someone was SHOT here! Other than that, it's okay. Not the best mall. Watch out for the parking lot. It's scary. People drive quite poorly. Once you make it into the establishment alive, though, you'll have a good time. There's plenty of decent shops to choose from. I recommend not going to Hot Topic, unless you're wanting to be harassed nonstop by employees who won't take no for an answer. But I do quite enjoy the gumball machines. They're wholesome fun. I do have a story. My younger brother who's about 13 years of age went to use the water vending machine. I've never used the vending machine before myself, so I was curious and followed him. He inserted ONE dollar into the machine, but no water came out. I tell him to select the refund button. He does so, and TWO dollars worth of quarters spilled out! A miracle, haha! Always clean, well maintained, has a decent selection of stores. This is a great small town mall in Kokomo!

Pretty normal basic mall! A lot of your favorite stores! Not too busy! People are pretty much to their selves.

My mother-in-law took me to this wonderful place. They had some awesome items that I hadn't seen in awhile. Many antique toys, dolls, and advertising memorabilia. Really had a good time looking around and will be coming back. Managed to add a few things to my collection, lots of fun. The prices were good also. An excellent place to go if you like to search for treasures. read more
