Everything was run smoothly, on time and for a fair price. They spent a good deal of time patiently educating me about numerous matters, including best practices for smoothly dealing with the building staff and management company, helping me to make decisions about things I was unaware of by thoughtfully explaining options, etc. They maintain reliable and beneficial supplier relationships whom they clearly partner well with. All their craftsmen were talented and efficient (carpenters, masons, painters, assemblers, installers, cleaners). The company was adaptable to variables beyond our control that tend to arise: We did not loose time when 2 Home Depots were out of desired doors ("Let's check Lowe's across the parking lot") or Home Depot was late to deliver appliances they left Bolo the task of bringing into the apartment after a sidewalk delivery, discovering the kitchen underfloor was in worse condition than anticipated, etc. As with any business that has on-the-fly decisions to make or optional services to choose, as the client, expect expansion/contraction of the scope of work and costs. Bolo also runs professional cleaning services, so the place was spotless when they finished since I elected their thorough service. Usman and his incredibly capable crew restored and repaired my 6 story townhouse back exterior and…read moremy roof, which are made out of EIFS stucco. We had hired a structural engineer to add flashing to balconies as well as ceiling fans. When he added the fans, he cut into the EIFS and did a very poor job patching the channel he cut to hide the electric. This caused condensation inside the home and required immediate repair. Usman is a class act. He personally showed up to the project himself every single day. He also did certain parts of the project himself or was helping his men in any way he could by doing various tasks. The roof needed a sauna removal, which Usman and his crew did with extreme care, but also left lots of damage to the EIFS stucco. Usman and his team carefully repaired it. Upon repair, he inspected our roof and found many critical issues we were unaware of. It was not done in a "pushy contractor" way, it was done because he knows his business and his products so well, he wanted to figure out why the roof was requiring so much product and because he is INCREDIBLY detail oriented. It was because the EIFS was getting wet due to exposed limestone joints, which over time would have meant we would have to redo the entire EIFS (a very big and expensive job) and he also found an immediate future issue which would have caused a leak. We were able to fix and get ahead of both, while staying on the original timeline. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated Usman and his team's attention to detail from start to finish of the project. Over the past 8 years in my townhouse, I have put a lot of work into it. It is tricky to find a great contractor. One that is not only talented, but also cares about his work AND his workers!!! That is a true sign to me of a wonderful company. He not only ordered lunch for his crew, he ALSO ordered lunch for my housekeeper and myself! I kept calling my husband and telling him how kind Usman was and how thorough. He is EXTREMELY thorough. He is collaborative in the sense that he will listen to the owner (in this case me) and address any and all concerns or questions I had with thoughtfulness and care. We hadn't planned on restoring the front of my building, which is limestone, but I had a quick question about it (NOT part of the scope!) for Usman and after I received the answer, my husband and I decided to get a bid to do preventative work to restore the front using Usman and his team again. I will absolutely continue to be a repeat customer. Owning a building requires contractors and Usman and his team are absolute gems. Clean, courteous, professional, and talented. We have spent hundreds of thousands on "top contractors" and some have been good, some awful, Usman was great. I couldn't recommend Hi Tech Contracting & Restoration more.

I have worked with Gaudioso Contracting on several successful projects. One of the first jobs we worked on together was when Anthony Gaudioso's team rebuilt the street facade of a row house in BedStuy, Brooklyn, for me. His guys first got to the bottom of what had been done incorrectly by the previous cheapo contractor. They started by removing the other guys' mistakes. Anthony's guys then rebuilt the 3-storey street facade and stoop, created a fanlight over the entry door, ran appropriate wiring for new sconces that would flank the parlor-level entry way and illuminate the garden level entrance. They made sure to waterproof it all thoroughly. When the exterior was watertight, they then repaired the fairly extensive inside water damage. The finish facade, which had been approved by public hearing before the Landmarks Preservation Commission, was going to be a faux-brownstone stucco. When the client had purchased the row house, the street facade was covered in a multicolored, faux flagstone slathered on top of the wood building structure. The new finish facade required a new application of stucco as a faux-brownstone. Gaudioso Contracting provided several different color samples of the stucco finish (matched to other brownstones on the block), and as well as, color samples of alternative window colors, and entry door colors, for the Landmarks inspector's approval. As part of the stucco application process, they built up the elegant window and entry door surround details to satisfy the Landmarks Preservation Commission's inspector. They also brought in Adler Windows to replace all the water-damaged, crumbling, wooden double-hung windows with new thermal paned, powder coated, aluminum windows with appropriate brick molding to satisfy the Landmarks inspector. Gaudioso Contracting also built, painted and installed a replica of the neighboring brownstone's cornice which Landmarks approved. Their work was terrific. Each phase of the work moved smoothly and had expertly skilled craftsmen who specialized in the particular aspect of the job in hand at the time. They were on time and on budget. I was delighted with their reliability, responsiveness and professionalism.
