This is a lovely place for trying new wines and enjoying some good food. The cured elk appetizer was divine. I had steak for main and it wasn't the best cut and I wouldn't have paid that price for it again, but it wasn't bad either. The waiter also recommended a good red wine to go with it that suited my tastebuds as well as the veggies and red wine sauce was good. My eating partner had duck, which I tried and the duck breast was truly amazing and I wish I also ordered it instead of the steak. Personally I thought the service was a bit low for such a place, we had to ask to get our drinks refilled each time after waiting for a long time, no one asked how our food was and they seemed to give white wine in red wine glasses at times and red wine in white wine glasses, I have never seen such a thing but it might be something trendy for all I know, I never got the chance to ask since the waiter didn't approach us all that much. The waiters shirts was untucked in the back and tucked in the front and the shirt didn't look ironed in a while as well as slightly saggy pants. I would have expected more at a place like this, but maybe we were just unlucky with the night. I would give it 5 stars cause of the cured elk, duck and wine, but the service was more like a 3 and the steak wasn't all that which is why a 4 is where I landed. read more
